  1. Hi everyone,

Without getting into a detailed history of DC greytone covers, I thought it would be interesting to have a thread where we could get a full listing of DC greytone covers.

There are so many great titles that featured greytones - from Peter Panda to Strange Adventures to all the DC war titles.

If you've got greytones, post 'em!

    Shep

i can see what the difference is in these "greytones", but what is the difference? hahaha how were they made? why are they called "greaytones"?

    thanks

    ken

  2. Both of these extremely high demand books sold in the high $50k's

    Which one would you choose?

    .....or

I would have to BARELY go with Batman #1...because it is #1...but the Supes is breathtaking !!!!

no way you could be a collector of comics and not pick bat 1. now if your a seller of comics thats another story. unless of course you just hate batman

  3. marvel team-up. in my opinion the best of the marvel.......well i'm not sure what to call those types of books but you know what i mean. i think

    Marvel Premier

    Marvel Two-in-one

    Marvel Spotlight

Ive got 3-5 of the MTU and I love the #3 green cover cloud9.gif

yea thats probably my favorite of the run

  4. thats what i mean, it's a ga #1 war book. no respect i tell you.

Except, that for most GA books, being issue # 1 simply means squat! since the majority are anthology books. For example, there is nothing special about Combat Casey # 1 compared to Combat Casey # 4 nor is there anything special about Combat Casey # 1 compared to Combat Kelly # 1 or even Battle # 1 or Navy Tales # 1. Second, you do realize your book is impaired by that Code stamp on it, right? I know I will always pay less for a Code book.

let me better explain myself. i new what the book is worth. and i din't expect anyone to offer more then what it is worth.

all i was saying is that when i first looked the price up years ago when i purchased it with a small collection. i was suprized at the low cost because it's such a nice book to me.

    thats not my date stamp
