Nice looking copy!! Can you educate a novice and explain how you took the spine roll out
Trial & error on hundreds of low grade valueless comics. If you haven't put any time in, then don't even think about attempting it with a valuable comic... send it to a pro or you will be crying when you screw it up.
Ok, very cool and great job. Taking the spine roll out makes the comic look so much better! Does it require you to remove the staples to do it properly? Also, does CGC downgrade a book if they detect the spine has been adjusted?

Thanks! It's a CGC 6.0 but presents really well for the grade (a good press could possibly bump it up a notch or two but I'm not looking to do that). Also has white pages so I guess that's a bonus to some collectors.

Picked up a beautiful Spider-Man #100. Mike did a great job packaging, shipped super fast, and excellent communication. Thanks for a great transaction!!

Back in the early 80's there was a small mom & pop comic store called House of Comics in downtown San Diego. First time I was ever captivated by a book on the wall, Spider-Man #1. Don't know what ever happened to them? Any old school collectors from San Diego know of the prime comic shops back then in the 70's?

Wow, very nice books! Ok, where do you guys get all these multiples of amazing high grade copies? Are these books you hoarded off the stands that you now decided to CGC? You all have fantastic abilities to pick out the very best copies (thumbs u

And I'm also concerned about all his trimmed books. Is he attempting to provide false security by admitting that certain books are trimmed/color touched and then putting up other bigger $ books and claiming them not to be trimmed or restored in attempts to cash in at a later time. Where are all these trimmed books coming from
-
All of the edges and corners look unnaturally razor sharp and every one of his high grade books have the exact same corner/edge appearances (even the one's he claims untrimmed). My question goes back to how is he so certain which books have been trimmed and which have not? Anyone else familiar with comic keys auctions from back in the day?
-
How does one seller come to have so many restored books?
Because he restored them himself.
FF 75 "No trimming"

How does one seller come to have so many restored books?
I'd like an answer to that myself
-
On this book FF 53 he discloses only slight color touch but states "no trimming". How can he be so certain it hasn't been trimmed like so many of his other books?? The corners and edges sure look like they've been sliced and diced even to my untrained eyes. And as other people have mentioned, the photos/scans look very similar to what comic keys photos looked like back in the day
-
Every single book has the same looking edges and corners! And the trimmed books he's noted have identical edges and corners to the one's he claims are untrimmed. How can this seller be so certain what has been done unless they're the one doing the trimming??

Hello BZ,
Congratulations on such a wonderful Golden Age collection. Don't recall if you have answered this already but do you actually own an Action Comics #1? If not, is it currently on your collecting radar? If you do own one, what grade would you estimate it to be?? Thank you and once again I am completely in awe of such a magnificent collection of items you have attained (thumbs u !!

Also, kudos to comicseekers for fast payment on the GL #76. Glad it found a good home

Kudos to mjacobs8 for prompt payment on the Tec #398 (thumbs u

That is definitely not a Neal Adams cover. I believe it was done by Irv Novick but mistakenly credited to Adams all these years

Here's a Pacific Coast Adams cover that I really like:

No other high grade Adams??

Any other high grade Adams books or covers??

Use to own the Bowling Green copy, but happy to have this one now (the line at the bottom left corner is a scratch on the plastic case). Does anyone know how to remove scratches from the plastic?
