  1. Hello to all.. Just to chime in, i remember buying this book at the LCS, and back then i personally preferred the Direct, not only because of the Spidey head in the area where the barcode would be, but because i was meticulous on how i bought my books. At the time I lived close to a local 'Optimo' news stand two blocks away, and i remember the comics on the racks would always be slouched over, and not in the best condition as a Direct copy would be in a comic shop. Now i never knew about the direct to news stand ratios, but honestly, back then who knew?
  2. Great topic. My first memory would have to be Alexander's. They had a toy section, and I remember my mom buying me an R2D2 when Star Wars came out, then I was pretty much getting all the other figures every other week or so. Great memories, wish I would've still had some of them.
  3. Thank you for your response Drunken Android, yes, I was like, when I saw this book. My raw one looks way better, and i'm giving mine a 9.2-9.4.
  4. I'm asking because the in the image, it's got certain aspects of the book that don't look like it. There have been other of these that have been graded the same, and are of better quality.
  5. Hello to all.. Just received today, apologies for the quality of the pictures.
  6. How about, Avengers #195 Amazing Spider-Man #194
  7. Hello to all.. New to this thread, just finished going through it and an interesting read. My recent gifted addition, Curious, as I've been researching on how many of these sketch variants were produced for the fan expo.
  8. Thank you. Yes, I rememember buying the Mazinger Z with my summer job monies. Also, it's terrible when things go 'missing'.
  9. Hello to all. I saw this thread and the recent posts brought back so many memories. I've only these left from my younger days. Mobat Tank from 1982, and Mazinger Z from the mid 80's. Original owner.
  10. Hello to all. Hopefully everyone is keeping safe. Recent addition.
  11. Hello there, and thank you very much. I would say VF/VF+.
  12. Hello to all, hope everyone is being safe. My recent addition.
  13. Congrats! The clean and press really helped. I wasn't sure on the 9.8 because of the BC top and bottom corners by the spine, pre clean and press.
  14. Very nice Canadian price variant there! I'm going for 9.6.
  15. Thank you eee91, i thought so but wanted to know if someone had more input. Also thank you for the link, that one i haven't seen before. I'll check it out.
  16. Hello to all.. I didn't have these particular ones in my previous collection, but i had #21, and remember buying it at my LCS. I've got these in my possession now, and if i remember correctly, the 9.2 is a first print like the 9.6. These are identical in each way. I've done research, and as i recall, 3rd print #21's have the black spidey head in the UPC area, and the reach for the stars 'blue' back cover with Cap as well. I'm 'assuming' that the 9.2 was mislabeled as a 3rd print. My question is how could this be labeled as a 3rd print book? Any help, and comments would be greatly appreciated. My apologies if i posted this incorrectly in this thread as i didn't know where else to ask.
  17. Thank you very much! Very happy to finally experience it personally.
  18. Chiming in.. My very recent pass into the club... at least 50% wise.
