  1. Another great purchase from Azkaban!
  2. @Prince Namor Thanks for the many really good posts without the venom and outright dismissal of Stan.
  3. Same with me. As an adult I could appreciate Kirby. And then I saw his pencils. Most inkers just did not know what to do with them. Sinnot seemed to get the best line out of them and Colletta managed to replace the most with blanks. I wish Kirby work could have been printed direct from pencils.
  4. Thank you for that moment of clarity.
  5. Since the first Suicide Squad was clearly a WB attempt at a GOTG like movie, it makes sense they would leave Gunn alone. I think the pitch meeting where Gunn lists his Squad and then explains Starro appears may be better viewing than the first film.
  6. King of the Monsters was a pretty weak story, but the upgraded versions of Rodan and Ghidora were very good. Plus more monsters = more monster screen time. The first 2/3 of G vs K was slow. The first fight is almost entirely in the trailers. Then there are plotholes that just glare at you.
  7. You do you and buy what you like. Perhaps it is time to find another topic of discussion with your friend.
  8. The barber shop scene in Mississippi Burning gets you amped up. "This is tricky! Heh, heh, heh..." is one of my favorite lines ever.
  9. I like Snyder's response to this: https://www.indiewire.com/2021/03/warnermedia-toxic-snyder-cut-fans-reprehensible-1234625455/
  10. Please do not besmirch the Great Ambush Bug.
  11. I can not imagine a scenario where those in charge of HBO Max have not sent memos to AT&T asking for more Snyder Stuff.
  12. I will be rewatching this. I was cautiously optimistic, but now I am ready to join the Snyder Sequel Campaign. Even my favorite part of the Whedon version, WW saving the people in the bank, was amped up. The WB suits can't argue with these results.
  13. I think Snyder must be well aware of the Ostrander/Mandrake Martian Manhunter series. They established that J'onn still arrived on Earth in the late 50's like the original comics and observed key developments. Like the Wayne's and their untimely death, the arrival of a Kryptonian baby, etc. My favorite part of these revelations was all the various personas J'onnn maintained, including one as a house cat and another an anime style Japanese hero.
  14. All the best shops have a grouch!
  15. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Easy 4 hours to sit through. I was worried it was not going to be much better than the Whedon cut, but even the parts I liked in the Whedon cut were much better in the Snyder cut. The Flash is quirky, but not dumb, scared and quirky. WW and Aquaman are not completely outclassed by Steppenwolf. Some of the slow parts would have benefitted from solo films before the JLA. And the dream sequence and addition of Martian Manhunter felt forced,
