  1. I always buy the book and not only the grade. Makes it more fun finding the premium for a specific grade.
  2. The right one looks better because it looks more centered. The one on the left appears to have a bit of overwrap. However, I'd probably go with the copy that has a deeper red color, with no production defect (jagged edges).
  3. Even though newsstand versions are more rare, I will always prefer the look of a direct version. The face icon looks so much nicer than a barcode lol.
  4. I got this recently. This book doesn't get too much love, but I dig the cover. Need to pick up the direct edition eventually.
  5. I don't sell on eBay but I was wondering what's there to prevent sellers from manipulating sold prices? Wouldn't a seller be able to post a book at a ridiculous price, then use another account to make the purchase then cancel the transaction, therefore logging in the sold price? eBay doesn't remove sold prices even if the transaction didn't finalize, right?
  6. My glow in the dark edition that I bought from a boardie
  7. Anyone else notice majority of ASM 252 in a 9.8 sold on ebay are mostly newsstand edition? It's like the direct version in a 9.8 is more rare for this issue judging by the sold history.
  8. There are barely any 9.8s for sale on eBay. It's like everything is sold out compared to beginning of 2020. Prices will most likely continue to trend up until there's a new batch of 9.8s for sale.
  9. I think prices for these mentioned books in 9.8s will start to come down once the supply increases. Kind of like what is happening to ASM 300. With the current CGC turnaround time, I bet there are tons that's in queue waiting to be graded. Once those books hits the scene (eBay), prices will become more competitive.
  10. Just picked this beauty up; a 9.6 with whites pages, that's perfectly centered. Took me awhile to find this issue in a high-grade with a perfect wrap.
  11. I have noticed a lot sellers attempting to sell their books for ebay prices on the boards lately.
  12. One sold for $4,920 today on Heritage Auctions
  13. You can find plenty of old threads regarding pressing by using the search tool.
  14. I prefer finding a 9.8 ASM 300 that's perfectly centered, no production defect (jagged edges), and with a deep red color (instead of the orange). Personally, I stay away from copies with jagged edges.
  15. Nice presentation on this one. Near perfect centering and the color is really deep. Very happy with this book and it will be staying in the PC for a very long time.
