  1. 6 in "Received" with a 12/6 date. Three for pressing. No changes to declared value. I called cgc and they said the three for pressing where there and I didn't see an email from them. Also, all the books should have been signed so if declared value increase means signed, then shouldn't all declared values go up? Maybe not? Either way, I think those progression points are good guides but doesn't seem to mean that there's no progression if you don't see them.
  2. Zero movement here (3 for press, 3 not) Submission #: Received: 12/6/19 Items: 3 Declared Value: Service: In-house Signing Grading Status: Received Submission #: Received: 12/6/19 Items: 3 Declared Value: Service: In-house Signing Grading Status: Received
  3. Will cgc be there for any of the other creators?
  4. 6 received 12/6 (3 for pressing, 3 not). No new update either.
  5. This is super helpful. (even though now I know I've a while to go.) Thanks!!
  6. If he is signing books in the order they were received by CGC, would it make sense to start a thread dedicated to status changes from "received" to "scheduled for grading" so that folks have an idea of the progress of batch? So, people could post: Date Received by CGC: XX/XX/19 Date Status Changed to Scheduled for Grading: XX/XX/20
  7. How do these third party price guides get their information? I know some comes from eBay or other auction sites but I can't imagine they're manually retrieving and uploading that info. Are there APIs or something? And are they auditable? If someone wanted to verify a site's info to guard against market manipulation, can they?
  8. 100% I can post some pics of Michelinie sigs i got at Baltimore CC in 2019 if anyone wants for additional confirmation
  9. Byrne was actually at nycc in 2019 so I was able to get a few from him. I don't think cgc witnessing was an option
  10. Really? Are people out there really forging sigs you can get for 10 bucks or free? Is someone really forging Bagley or Slott? Or Campbell for that matter? I could understand with Lee (even though I purchased one ungraded with no cert, but maybe i'm a sucker) or Romita Sr. but, like Ramos?
  11. I purchased the book at midtown comics times square when it came out. I have two. I wasn't aware of the value until in line for crains sig at terrificon 2019 when someone offered to buy it on the spot. My other has the same sigs unwitnessed. Going to submit that as well (but want to try to wait to get pichelli and BMB). Should come out at 9.8 as well with a green label, which I frankly don't care about, well maybe I do; just bummed that there's apparently enough of a forgery market that people have to worry about authenticity. I've spent a lot of time getting a lot of sigs (including some miller, Conways, and Romita srs) so if I ever decide to slab, I'll have a lot of green labels. Oh well.
  12. What s/he said ⬆️ up dere...what do you mean? I had it signed by Clayton at terrificon in 2019 but haven't tried to have some third party officially verify it
  13. Super stoked about the outcome!
  14. maybe the question is, what is the best way to get this into the best shape possible before submitting for grading?
  15. it is, unfortunately. That's why i was asking about professional cleaning in the first place. Would CGC cleaning be sufficient or there alternatives that might do a better job. If you can't say publicly, let me know the best way to tell me outside of this thread.
  16. Thanks, Cap. Is your "O" with the book as is, or after pressing / cleaning?
  17. Ok. So I'll call and hopefully be able to get green labels. If I ever want to sell, maybe I'll contact a sig verification company if potential buys give me grief. I wonder how Just Some Anonymous company would deal with these...
  18. I'll post pics of the back cover in a bit and I didn't assume they'd verify the sigs but they'll knock the grade down? Does that mean I can't get any of my previously signed books graded? Then I'm effed, most of my books I'd want graded are signed, including the six I just sent in for the McFarlane signing. Should I call cgc tomorrow and ask for the green label?
  19. New guy here. I'm finally at a point of considering seriously archiving some and monetizing other books. I have this ASM 127 and have been thinking of getting it slabbed but it has some definite defects. I'm wondering if a professional dry clean and pressing would be worth the money. Any thoughts on current or potential grade would be welcomed too. I have more pics but, size constraints... Thanks, Today's new guy
