Nice book Rich. I tried vary hard to get that book for a long time, but was not able to get the seller to budge on his price. Nice job, congratulations! 893applaud-thumb.gif

  2. Anyone know about these?

Looks like the price in the starburst is stamped in. Looking at the back cover it was obviously reprinted in the Phillippines by National Book Store, Inc. The inside covers are similar to the bc with list of books to mail order. None of which are comic books

I wonder how soon after US publication it was reprinted? What other issues may have been reprinted. Considering it looks like they were printed for distribution in the Phillippines, and out of only six store locations, there must not be very many.

How does this compare to other foriegn variants?

  3. Or get it here for 2$. I thought it to be rarer than that.

It isn't rare because it is not a price variant. All Marvels were priced at 35 cents by this time. It is a variant because it has the diamond rather than the square box price. The difference being direct sales and news stand. Some people refer to these as Marvel Whitmans. The Star Wars fat diamond variants are pretty easy to come by, but some of the other Fat diamond Variants are pretty hard to find in higher grade. Such as, X-men #118.

  4. Just got in a bueno copy of Captain America 100 Diamond Run Pedigree CGC 9.0 acclaim.gif

Nice pick up. I was considering this book through a PM and by the time I replied it was sold. Glad you were able to snag it. I am curious, this copy is for sale on the Metropolis web site and has been for a while. What's up with that? Anyone know?
