Can someone please verify my submissions for me?
Scott73737337 replied to Scott73737337's topic in Ask CGC
Awesome, thanks Mike! If you can, just have them update my "submissions" page for each submission. Supposedly, submission 4441773 is the fake Pink Floyd, but I assumed if any of the submissions were fake, it would have been the Grateful Dead. The Pink Floyd I bought from someone with 50,000 positive reviews on ebay, and has had other buyers send in their posters to CGC with no problems. Perhaps 4441773 was put into you system wrong and is actually the Grateful Dead poster. I don't know what to think - I will wait for the update. Thx again. -Scott -

Ok, I am completely confused. I just received an email from CGC saying 4441773 (Pink Floyd) is a fake, and has NOT been pressed. I called CGC and they said 4441774 is also the Pink Floyd poster. This contradicts your last reply. To make things even more complicated, submission 4454231 (Grateful Dead) is completely blank... These are my submissions. It shows 5, but I only sent in 4 posters. If you can, please get me an update on the status of them: 4454231 4447935 4441763 4441773 4441774 Thx Mike. -Scott -

Thanks Mike. Looks like there were a few typos when entering these into the system. Thanks for making sure all is good. Have a good day. -Scott -

Thx Mike, you are always a big help! Don't forget to please verify that 4441774 will be graded and not pressed, and please verify 4441773 will be both pressed and graded. Get back to me please. Thx. -Scott -
Ok, I have 4 posters I have submitted... 4447935 --> Scheduled for Grading - this one looks good! 4441763 --> Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging - this one looks good! 4441773 --> Scheduled for Grading - this one should say "scheduled for pressing, then grading" 4441774 --> CCS in Process / Pressing Poster nn nn no publisher listed - this one was NOT submitted for pressing, only grading I had made a post before submitting 4441774. This is the grateful dead poster... https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/535904-grateful-dead-1980-radio-city-music-hall-new-york-city-concert-poster/ As you can see, someone deleted the post! This poster has sold on Heritage Auctions, but is very rare. That is why I made the post that is now deleted. Please verify that 4441774 will be graded and not pressed, and please verify 4441773 will be both pressed and graded. I have a lot of debt and this is costing me a lot of money. Please make sure my posters submissions are correct. Thank you. -Scott

So, I have a high valued magazine worth $5000 that CGC graded 9.2. The guy that sold it to me did not send it in the mail properly, and one of the corners got messed up. If I send this in for pressing, and it grades 9.4, the value goes up to over $15,000. That to me is worth sending it in. However, I am wondering, lets say it does not grade higher, am I guaranteed to keep my 9.2 rating? I see no reason as to why CGC would grade it lower than what it already is. Please let me know. Thank you.

Poster submission / verification question...
Scott73737337 replied to Scott73737337's topic in Ask CGC
@MattM CS Does this membership apply to posters as well, or just magazines? https://www.cgccomics.com/account/membership/ Edit: Never mind. I just saw - the membership applies credit to posters as well. -

Poster submission / verification question...
Scott73737337 replied to Scott73737337's topic in Ask CGC
Oh I think I figured it out. I didn't realize CGC authenticates products before they grade them. I have only done magazine submissions, and those are kind of hard to fake, at least compared to posters. I feel dumb. Alright, I am going to make my first submission. I guess my only question is, let's say it turns out to be a fake / counterfeit, does it just get rejected and I lose my money? I spend a lot of money buying these on eBay, so if one is rejected I am going to have to spend even more money doing litigation to get my money back. Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to figure out the process people use to flip posters. -Scott -
So, I have a bunch of posters I want to send in. I have not done a CGC vintage poster submission yet, and I am very excited to do so. Let's say I send one in that was sold to me as a 1st reprint, but in reality it is a 2nd print - what happens next? Will you guys be able to verify what print it is and label it correctly for me? Do you stop the submission process if it is not the correct print number or do you just continue with the submission and add the correct print number for me? If I am unsure of what print number it is, should I just send it in and just let you guys figure it out? Is that ok? Or, perhaps it is better that I make a post here in the forums first to figure out the exact print? Please let me know what to do. Thanks for your time.

Just wondering if you guys can grade a 1999 metal band's promo poster that is 12" x 36"? Please get back to me. -Scott

Hairline crack in slab...

Hey Mike, one more thing... Can you tell me what my queue number is for submissions 4150692 and 4056291? The first one I paid $100 for submission I think, and the second one listed I paid around $30. Both are past their expected grading date. Just making sure nothing is holding up the grading process. Thx. -

Hairline crack in slab...
Scott73737337 replied to Scott73737337's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
It's cracked on the inside of the back cover, meaning if you run your fingernail across the crack, you can't feel it. I don't know how these are sealed, but if they have a hermetic / airtight seal, perhaps too much air was sucked out of it. I don't know... **** happens. -
Hey there, So, I had bought a magazine off of eBay, got it graded and returned via CGC, and after inspecting it while making a new eBay listing I noticed an almost invisible hairline crack in the slab. I am not able to resell it as is. It's no big deal - I'm not mad, but I need this resolved. I have mailed returns back in the past, but forgot the process. I spent $100 getting this item graded - it came back with a low grade, and I am going to lose money on it after I sell it on eBay. Please let me know how to get this fixed. I will pay for the return shipping. Please let me know what to do. Thx CGC. -Scott PS see attachments

Oh, it's registered mail. Thank God, I thought my package had gotten lost! Yeah, I know registered mail takes forever. That's all you had to say. Thx Jen! -SP

It's been 8 days since my order was supposed to be shipped. It does not take this long to ship. Can someone please get me an update on where my order is? This is extremely expensive! Thank you. USPS Track: 9208890126440323301113 -Scott

Thx for the reply Jen. I'll keep waiting.

How long does it take for CGC to open a package and update the status section? I sent in my magazine on 2/28, CGC says it was received when I type in the track, but nothing is showing up under the status section. I'm pretty excited to get this one graded. Thanks for your time. -Scott
