I just sent 7 slabs last week and they're being finalized now.  However one of the slabs arrived with a meaty crack and is being sent to CGC for reholder.  Anyone have experience with how long that takes?  Normally, it wouldn't matter but it was the biggest money book of the group.

Also!  Can you delay shipping when making orders?  A few items on my want list popped up but they're so cheap it's hard to justify the shipping cost.  Can I pay for those items but delay the shipping until I can make a bigger order? @mycomicshop

Hi Beastfeast:  I sent in several books to MCS for consignment Nov. 10th;  9 of the books were determined to have CGC QA issues and MCS sent them to CGC.  I was notified of a issue (told misunderstanding at CGC) on Jan 17, which is when CGC formally received the books to replace the holders;  I believe MCS received books back March 10th since I see the books are now being processed: being scanned and filed prior to being available for sale or auction.

thanks. I assume second bolded part meant before while, but I get the idea.

I wonder what my inner well will come up as, CGC QC or broken/damaged? I wish I could see the Master Comics 36 when it comes back, gonna be purty!

Hey Bird:   Did your book(s) with the inner well issue get sent to CGC by MCS?  If so, has CGC returned it to MCS yet?  I am asking because I have some books I sent to MCS in Nov that got sent to CGC for re-holder due to  Inner Well issue (Mechanical Error) that still have not come back from CGC.

  3. Well it appears the Value normal tier and Value "fast" track TAT both went up again :pullhair:.  It appears it is now back up to 89 business days and 53 business days.  Plus looking like it is taking approximately 2-3 weeks now to receive before you enter the queue which means really the TAT is 99/106 days for normal and 63/68 for "fast".

    25 book--slow value tier....delivered 12-4-20, marked rec'd at cgc 12-12-20, scheduled for grading on 3-6-21...may get them back by 4-15.. ??

I hope so since I also have 25 books slow value tier marked rec'd at cgc 12-10-20;  went to scheduled for grading on 3-4-21. went to Grading / Quality Control on 3-12-21.  I expected by end of April but who knows since the TAT went up again.

Someone call the Sheriff, 'cause you done been robbed.  That's a 4.0 all day long.  Unless there's actual tearing and/or splitting along that weak spine I see nothing to warrant a 3.0.  Good candidate for a suture crack and resub.

Yes, this one surprised me.  No insight from grading notes.  It is one I didn't get P&C I regretted it once I saw the grade.  Thanks.
