5th print at $630 with bp...

Donatello 9.8 at $432 with bp...this one surprises me as does #10 9.8 at $312 with bp...

There are more bidders and trackers for the Blue label #2 9.8 ($2880 with bp) than the yellow label #2 9.8 ($2520 with bp) which is very interesting. Of course this is with 4 hours left so there will be adjustments.

the #1 1st print 9.4 is at a nose bleeding $31,200 with bp...can it go any higher?

and the #1 3rd print 9.8 is sitting at $3000 with bp

The next four hours should prove to be exciting!

That's what I was wondering!  I didn't even think it was possible for a book to get this SEVERELY faded?  Do you have any information about the book's history?  Has this copy been on display in direct sunlight for the past 60 years?

And it's interesting to see how the degree of fading appears to be consistent, and seems so to have dramatically altered all colours, while the black inking looks relatively unaffected so none of the art's details are washed out!  Very interesting example showing the potential ravages of time! lol

Lol, The person said they he left it on the wall. I guess he like the sun.

Well, I'm finally out of the epic club as have sold my CGC 5.0 #1 first print (I guess no more weekly random PMs asking if I would sell it). I'm sure I'll regret it one day, but it was a decent chunk of change that went towards both house downpayment savings and buying a bunch of other books I've wanted, including all three CGC first appearances of Hellboy (high grade and even one signed by Mignola), another Tales of Suspense 39 and House of Secrets 92, as well as a few other random comics including a 5th printing of #1 to go with my remaining raw 3rd print (so technically still in the TMNT #1 club, but feels wrong when it isn't my original 1st printing :D ).

Has anybody been able to dig up the press run numbers for the 5th printing? I kept hearing it was less common than the 4th printing, but can't find anything to confirm that.

How much did you sell your TMNT 1st print for?

Sorry, but my OCD kicked in.

You asked the board what we thought it was graded at.  Is it already graded or are you looking for feedback? hm (thumbsu

I haven't gotten it graded yet but I will send it in. I've never sent in a faded comic book before. So just asking for grade.

How far under? Not a lot of raw comps on eBay, but here's one that sold at a best offer price of $2,350: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HULK-181-1ST-FULL-APPEARANCE-OF-WOLVERINE-MVS-INTACT-HI-GRADE-9-0-R-STUNNING/133515235627?hash=item1f1620d12b:g:s-MAAOSw-mNfWQyH

And another with a winning bid of $2,125: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Incredible-Hulk-181-Vol-1-Near-Perfect-High-Grade-1st-Wolverine-w-Marvel-Stamp/401608994695?hash=item5d81c2ef87:g:PjwAAOSwAI9bsTOg

They look like decent ones too - like I said, hard to tell 100% with the pics you have. I'm not suggesting you jump at it or anything, there are far more qualified people on here than I who can tell you a lot more about this book (I don't own one) - but just trying to help with some basic comps/research.

    Both got snatch up!
