  1. Special thanks to @Rich_Henn for the stranger things book!
  2. Just picked up... This feels like a 7 or 7.5 but was curious what others think.
  3. Grade came in about as expected....did not realize the additional restoration efforts though
  4. Honestly growing up I really liked Gambit and wolverine so these were for me irregardless of if it didn't make sense to grade or not
  5. I picked this up at an auction and definitely need a second opinion. I had a LCS owner look at it and they claimed the stamp alone would drop it down to at best a 4.5. However I've seen a few CGC graded #2's with a bigger stamp in the same location at 9.2. I suppose I was thinking that the book is in pretty decent condition overall. The front has a small corner crease and some small discoloration in the top right. I was thinking with a press this could get closer to a 7.0 compared to a 4.5. Again, any opinions are greatly appreciated!
  6. Picked this up at an auction and need some thoughts on grading as I'm trying to figure if I should even bother submitting to CGC. The overall condition isn't horrible but it looks like the original owner may have tried to glue the tears on the top middle and bottom left corner of the book. I'm not entirely sure how that would affect the grading. My initial estimate is somewhere between a 3.0 and 5.0 but that's a pretty wide band. Thanks for any opinions in advance!
  7. Just picked this up at an estate sale. I'm terrible at grading but my guess is it is somewhere between a 4 and 5.5. would be curious everyone else's thought.
  8. Thanks so much for the response! Very helpful. I've definitely started to comb through the sub-forum and it's definitely been helpful. It led me to Rich Henn who has been helping me through my first set of signature series!
  9. Hello! After a 20 year hiatus in collecting comics I have rediscovered the fun of reading and collecting new comics. Along with that I've found with some artists and writers that I really enjoy and have fallen down the signature series rabbit hole . Being new to this I was curious as to how other collectors approach getting multiple signatures on a book. For example I have a nice Vampirella #2 that I was hoping to get signed by Artgerm and Christopher Priest, however I can't seem to find a convention with both at the same place at least in the near term. Is the best strategy to usually wait until you can get all signatures at a single event and do it that way? Or is it better to get a signature and get the booked slabbed and then at another conference crack the slab and repeat for the second signature? Just looking for some advice on the best way to go about this. Thanks in advance!
