Favorite covers with Yellow predominately displayed.

I have found using 2-3 of these flags has been sufficient to hold the Mylar flap down. The flags can also be easily removed and placed again without leaving any residue behind.

I understand the OCD part. A few years back I went on an extreme labeling journey after switching everything to mylar.

When I submitted this I was expecting a 9.4. Sent it in un-pressed and the grader’s notes indicated finger bends on the front cover and a crease on the back cover (which I can’t see). It’s the nicest 7.5 I’ve ever seen…

Incredible Hulk #181 - is it *that* red-hot?

I purchased my 9.0 back in late 2013 for a little less than what you paid for your 9.2 and felt EXACTLY the same way. Glad I bought when I did. No way would I pay today’s asking prices. -

3 book Standard tier submission (no pressing services) 9/11/20 - received by CGC 9/22/20 - scheduled for grading

Adding a little more life...I bought this raw from Jim Payette back in 2013. This was the first book I had submitted for grading back in 2019. I was expecting it to come back as a 9.4 and was thrilled with the 9.6 WP. Census doesn’t show very many copies of this issue in high grade.

I love these three covers. I think Batman 232 is surprisingly inexpensive as compared to other villain first appearances. -

GL 76 was the first back issue I ever purchased after my Uncle introduced me to comic book collecting. I purchased this raw about 35 years ago and recently had it graded. It isn’t high grade but it’s one of my favorites. -

What was your submission tier?

My bad, I meant late March.

10/4/2019 - Economy 5 book submission received by CGC. 1/30/2020 - CCS Pressing invoiced. With any luck I will have them returned by late February.

So, what was the first CGC graded comic you purchased?

Brave and the Bold # 85 CGC 9.6 in late 2014. I had been looking for a nice copy of this issue for awhile. Finding a high grade copy of this issue was much harder than I expected. -
Just got these back today. Got a nice grade bump on both. I was anticipating the GL # 40 would be a 9.0 and the GL # 59 would be a 9.2.

My Standard 2 book submission that went SFG on 11/14, moved to Grading/QC on 11/15. Shipped on 11/18. Got a nice bump on both books. I bought a raw Green Lantern # 40 that was sold as a VF/NM several years ago that graded out as a NM- 9.2 My raw GL 59 was sold as a NM- that graded out as a 9.6 WP. Very happy with my first submission. Both books were pressed prior to grading. Scott

Hello, long time lurker just got around to joining. I grew up in the 70’s and had an early interest in comic books (Flash and Green Lantern). My first slab purchase was a beautiful Brave and the Bold 85 CGC 9.6 with WP back in 2013 from a Heritage auction win. Made my first CGC submission in early October and look forward to making a few more. Really appreciate all the insight this board has provided. Scott
