I was able to buy some books yesterday from an original owner collection. I sold some of the lower grade stuff to a local store and here’s what I kept for myself. -
They look amazing in person. Definitely going to have some 9.8's here

Last weekend I bought an original owner run of Mcfarlane Amazing Spiderman's. 90% of the books were very nice NM copy's. Here were a few of the standouts.

I've been collecting since 1986. I still love it and have found it the most fun finding local like-minded comic collectors to hang out with and chat about the hobby. I think this was the single most important ingredient to enjoying my collection more. I also used to collect a lot of cgc slabs but have since transitioned to high grade raw copies. I find I enjoy it more when I'm able to flip through the book and hold it. It's becoming more common to see high grade books in slabs so it somehow feels more satisfying keeping it raw.

Breathing problems after handling old comics?
Neurosis138 replied to Heavy-ish Metal's topic in Comics General
I got one of those pin tests where they poke you're back with a bunch of different things to find out your what you're allergic to. One of mine was book mold. I definitely have it but it's a minor allergy. When I read a really musty old book my nose will get a little stuffy and watery eyed. Most of the time it's very minor but it is an actual thing. -
This is it! My kudos thread.
