  1. I love the Star Wars Wonder Bread cards. I collected them as a kid and have great memories of them. Mine were in pretty bad shape with a lot of creases and staining. I’ve bought multiple sets in recent years, and have a nearly complete set of PSA graded ones. I’ve found a high quality Stormtroopers card is the hardest and most expensive to track down. I really hope CGC starts grading these and the 1977 Topps Star Wars sets eventually.
  2. The sight of this box makes me insane with jealousy. Nice!
  3. Here's hoping they'll soon start grading the Topps 1977 Star Wars cards and stickers, Wonder Bread Star Wars cards, etc.
  4. I’ve been working on a mostly mid-grade run of Aquaman too, and I agree you can get many of them for very reasonable prices. I won a My Comic Shop auction recently for a lot of 7 (37, 39, 47, 50, 51, 52 and a Super DC Giant 26), with most grading VG according to MCS (and I find them to be tough graders) for $36 total. I couldn’t believe it. I received them today and they are in better shape than I expected.
  5. Thanks all - much appreciated. Except for the last snarky response. Yes, I looked at their websites, and no, it wasn’t clear to me from that. Especially since there were several FAQs assuring people that CGC would not know if CCS had pressed the books when deciding on a grade. ok last snarky response was deleted. Thx.
  6. Can you submit books to CCS for pressing, and then have CCS send/transfer them To CGC for grading? Or do you have to receive them back from CCS and then separately submit them to CGC? Thanks in advance.
  7. Really interesting. Would not have thought some people would see it as a plus. Much appreciated
  8. It is a date stamp. That’s interesting - thanks for the feedback.
  9. I’m considering bidding on an early x-men issue. It is slabbed with a CGC grade of 7.0. The most obvious flaw is a date stamp that was applied to the cover around the date the comic was issued. I assume this flaw was factored in when the 7.0 grade was assigned by CGC. Is that right? Notwithstanding the grade, does writing on the cover such as this, practically speaking, make the book less valuable? thanks for any thoughts.
  10. So I saw a 9.8 CGC Star Wars No. 25 (Marvel 1977 series) just sold on eBay for $639. It was not signed. This is 2-3x that, for example, issues 2-6 sell for. What’s the deal? It’s got a cool cover, but why such a brig premium for issue 25?
