  5. That listing was the first time I realized that an Australian edition existed. Anyone ever seen another copy? I have not. I know that there is a copy in the library in Australia. I just do not know which one. This may be one of the only copies extant outside of that library Did you win the book?
  6. Triumph 12 with the ICONIC Nelvana cover has trended down. Not that rare and copies keep surfacing. Compare the 1.5 copy that realized $2600 in April 2014 Versus the recent sale of a 6.0 copy for $3600
  7. Addendum: Rock Thunder may have been a crude prototype of the White Mask, (AKA Speed Savage) The book screams Canadian, right down to the Maple Leaf on Rock Thunder’s Chest. Rock Thunder's costume with boots and the two guns is very similar to the later costume donned by Speed Savage. The tome is uber-rare, with only one other known copy in existance in a private collection. Note Canadian Ace Hi Action under Title and Ted Allan Steele's initials under Rock Thunder....TAS now look at the Speed Savage One-Shot with the cover rendered by Ted Steele Canadian Ace of Action
  8. Thank you Jon. I am very excited to acquire this book. Thank you for making it available. it will be a pinnacle in my collection
  9. Boom...won this one VICTORY ROCK THUNDER....1st Canadian Costumed superhero rendered by Ted Steele This hero preceeded Nelvana, Johnny Canuck, Freelance, Thunderfist, et al The only hero that preceeded Rock Thunder was the Iron Man in Better Comics of March 1941 and he was not costumed notice the Canadian Ace Hi Action in the title now look at the Speed Savage One-Shot with the cover rendered by Ted Steele Canadian Ace of Action

  12. Originally "sold" on Ebay $1500.00 USD with the Buy It Now (one of Bruno's books) This is obviously an outlier sale/anomaly but nevertheless, insane Link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Three-Aces-Comics-V2-8-Anglo-American-1943-CANADIAN-EDITION-/351156940286?hash=item51c295adfe:g:HxgAAOSwxH1T~gJ~ Now relisted by Bruno on EBAY and dropped to $1000.00 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Three-Aces-Comics-V2-8-Anglo-American-1943-CANADIAN-EDITION-/351795300689?hash=item51e8a24951:g:HxgAAOSwxH1T~gJ~
  13. Come to think of it, it's also pretty good evidence that not many sold at the steep initial price. Why else re-price all the way down to 15c at retail? The 15c "in Canada" remains curious though. I'm thinking that somewhere out there is a copy with a pence sticker as well. Yes, this makes perfect sense. Consider the New York Worlds Fair comic of 1939 that was initially priced at 25 cents and was later reduced to 15 cents with a 15 cent sticker on the cover accordingly. In fact, they included a copy of SUPERMAN # 1 in order to make up the difference to those who paid the full 25 cents originally
  14. Perhaps not that many were printed or sold..... Interesting to note that the Action Stories of the Mounties One Shot is very COMMON in comparison with the Canada Jack One-Shot
  15. There was a coupon available to mail out for the Canada Jack one-shot in a few copies of Canadian Heroes. The price was 25 cents
  16. A book you NEVER see.... coming up soon http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fpreview%2Easp%3Fcode%3D2016aug%23Item_1134585&id=1134585
