  1. Someone with a nice run of Showcase and The Brave and the Bold can make a good dent into that number.
  2. One of my favorite covers. Darwin Cooke did a recreation. When I checked about buying it many years ago, his rep wouldn't sell it. So there you have, a classic. Congrats.
  3. This is what I’ve done the past few years. Although my collection is mostly unslabbed. I can’t see paying CGC $$$$ to slab them now.
  4. “But wait,” says Julie, “a starfish would overpower our first of its kind all star team. What should we do?” A loud SNAP is heard echoing the room, “Listen up, cool cats, I have an idea.”
  5. @alexgross.com I’ve cracked out almost everything in my collection, including my low grades AF15 and Showcase 4. Doing so prevents me from the regret of selling. Storage is much easier. I can read and smell my comics. The only thing that makes me sad is knowing if I cut out the coupon for the green army men and send it in, I won’t get anything in return.
  6. Tough list. I thought you were also targeting some golden age?
  7. I re-read a few books and have decided a redo (without regard to current value) is in order for my list... Showcase 4 (Flash) Showcase 22 (Green Lantern) Brave and Bold 28 (JLA) Action 252 (Supergirl) Flash 123 (Earth-2) Our Army at War 83 (Sgt Rock) My Greatest Adventure 80 (Doom Patrol) Showcase 17 (Adam Strange) Adventure Comics 210 (Krypto) Flash 110 (Wally)
  8. With the growing list of obvious QC issues, it would be nice for CGC to make a statement on how they plan to fix it. In most businesses, quality issues like this result in several negative consequences for the company. Can you imagine software, food processing, manufacturing having amateur QC issues? And I call it amateur because misplaced labels and upside down books is a failure of epic proportions for most businesses.
  9. I somewhat agree here. I do wonder how many new fans have the attachment to the character in the movies vs the actual first appearance in a comic book? Remember, these comics are older than the parents of the last couple of generations. Where will Disney go next for their next entertainment franchise?
  10. Awesome that this thread has been on page 1 for a while now. Thanks all for posting. It's an infinite mass thread For you non-Flash folk, you can Google it.
  11. Since CGC is so swamped, they recruited team members from ASG (Blackstone partner company Authenticated Stamp Guaranty) to help out. Since the only collectible stamp nowadays is the Upside Down Jenny, that they don't know which way is up.
  12. I thought everyone did it this way. "frame uniformly and adjust the mat size"
  13. Well, if you look at the serial numbers, it seems that the first one, not pictured is correct. So, CGC is hitting .250 in the quality phase. That's decent for baseball.
  14. For the collective good of the community, I'm sure someone on the boards that has one will list their copy right away. Whoever you are, thank you in advance.
  15. Great thread. Lot's of great titles here, but I miss my Conan, Warlord and Arak.
  16. I wonder if the value calculation is based on the most recent HA sale? That would certainly get maximum value for CGC.
  17. That 123 is the best looking of the bunch. Congratulations.
