Thanks!!
I'm not sure where Timulty is. I see him post now and then, but not as frequently as he did a year ago.
I tried to send him a PM a few months back, but his account won't accept them, unless I'm on his ignore list

I know there aren't a lot of people here that appreciate Captain Marvel, but for the few that do, here's an updated group shot

I love that cover
The green/aqua background is what makes it really stand out.
Thanks for posting BZ

This just showed up on my doorstep today; one of my favorite covers and a must have book for me:
Also picked these up recently with the help of a fellow Captain Marvel fan:

Maybe I should be called "Overspent due to Rick Kid"
Nice book!!!

Well after the sad news about the funny business with the Tec #8 in the Mastro auction, I was feeling pretty down.
Then, like I was the Detroit Tigers, stagedoorjohnny offered me this books at a more than fair price. So we have agreed on a deal, in principle, for this book. Pending me putting cash together after the holiday season when I am no longer broke
I just couldn't wait to post it though
Since I passed on this book once already, it feels great getting another shot at it.
Thanks Dennis!!
Congrats! Looks great!! There's nothing like getting the one that got away.

Holy Rick!!
Just when you think it's going to be another quiet weekend in the GA section, you come in with that!!! (worship)
well, the Gators are not in the SEC championship, and all my friends are tied up this weekend with plans, so I figured I would take some pictures!
thanks
rick
Good plan (thumbs u
On a side note--is there no Marvel Mystery Comics registry?!

So who wants to own a Conan 275 CGC 9.6
huh huh huh
9.8?

I have a complete run, love the Barbarian. Some of the most well written tales ever scribed into comic books. They were always entertaining books, and Thomas; had for me, a genius way of taking me into the story itself, and off to adventure in these far lands abroad.
Conan will always RULE!!!!!
Yep, same here. A full run I began and finished as a kid. Some of the issues are pretty well read, and I can usually look at the cover and flash back to what is on the inside

my cheslers; still missing a few [the missing ones are in my signature below--feel free to help me out with a private message], and i don't collect the star titles or feature funnies. just had to do a new library shot, and couldn't wait to get the runs complete.
Nice shot!!!!
Were you standing on a ladder or hanging from a chandelier to get that photo?

And finally, this one is dear to my heart for obvious reasons (to most)!
Super copy, here's a copy I posted in a different thread about a month ago. Your copy looks much nicer!!!!
Great Book!!!
Why is one missing the price and No. 8 in the upper right corner? Different printings?

Doesn't look like anything for me next week

You know, I think this is the only comic I have bought in the last 6 monthes:
Whiz Comics #35 CGC 8.5 White Pages Pennsylvania Front
Very nice Tim!
That's a sharp copy

More Tip Tops!
Wow, in the world of red and yellow GA books, this one must have stood out on the shelf with the brown. It looks great!
-
I wonder how many kids read that and then still smoked it when they were older, knowing that it could make you "murder a man in cold blood".
-
I wonder what the artwork to the cover of Action 1 would look like?
Honestly....I wouldn't go there.
If Flee mocks it up and posts it, I guarantee you'll see the swiped image in a scam ebay auction within the year....probably with a story about "my grandfather worked at a printing plant in NJ in the 1930s, and I found this in his attic after he died, not sure what it's worth", etc.
That's a good point. Sad, but true.

Watch out! He has a test tube and he knows how to use it. My favorite mad scientist from May 1937.
Satan's scalpel. Is the monkey going to help? Not a happy thought but good for Halloween in 1935.
Isn't the monkey's head going to be put on the dames body like the one behind the bars?

I was just kidding! It looks great!
I really enjoy photo covers (thumbs u

Finally, I get to post on the Gold Forum!!! A recent find in some old boxes in an attic. (I know, "another attic story....") But 'tis true!
Looks good, but I dunno...

I've always been a little sour toward Limehouse stories myself, but to each his own...
