  1. Good to hear. What was your “ME”? (Sounds like a new post topic ) I had two books with ME’s: Mislabeled Spider-Man 1 polybag regular cover (purple webs) as just regular cover. I did select the correct variant on my order form. Spider-Man 1 polybag silver cover had three 1”- 2” scratches on the back of the case.
  2. You really should call or email CGC. They can at least tell you what’s going on with the order
  3. 2 book mechanical error reholder Sent - 12/15 Arrived - 12/17 Received - ?

  5. 19 out of 25 9.8’s. Not bad for first 9.8 pre-screen.
  6. Thanks! I use a 15”x15” clamshell t-shirt press. Humidity - Yes (Required to get these results after polybag damage) Plates - Yes
  7. If you send a book to CGC they will remove the polybag or you can remove it before sending it,
  8. Happy New Year! sorry, I don’t have a scan of my copy.
  9. Yeah pressing probably would have improved the score.
  10. Love seeing the John Byrne Space:1999 covers! Thanks for sharing.
  11. Not specifically for CGC, but lots of packages I’m waiting for are in the USPS system You’d think they could save some money by not “circulating” packages several between multiple sorting facility locations before final delivery...just saying
  12. For me as I continued to collect comics the first few years (around 1979-1981) I made money cutting grass and delivering my morning paper route. I’d collect from my customers each week and rode my ten-speed bicycle into town to pay for my papers. I took my profit over to Gentilcore’s Confections, a candy store, deli and soda fountain, to buy some comics for the week. I’d pick out my comics, buy a chocolate milk and a Hostess fruit pie or Suzy-Q and sit at the bar and look at the comics. Those were the days!
  13. To save the planet they’ll need help from the Guardians of the Galaxy
  14. We are sitting in the same waiting room, my friend. modern ps 25 books, recvd 10/28.
  15. Nope. Definitely FF 165, 1975 - I was with Mom, grocery shopping at Moss’ Supermarket on route 21 in Uniontown, PA. I saw the comic book spinner rack. Mom kept going while I thumbed through all the comics they had. It turns out a spinner rack is a good babysitter for a nine year old in a grocery store. She came back later and said I could pick only one to buy. Mom never had a problem getting me to go grocery shopping for the next few years Mom and Moss’ are long gone but I still have the comic book and the memory.
  16. Yep! I eventually picked up FF 164 a while later.
  17. Yep. Love the Perez/Sinnott run on FF. Covers were fantastic!
  18. FF 165. Bought it at a local grocery store spinner rack.
