  1. AH HA! I’ve found you guys! I’ve been looking everywhere! I finally figured out that if I followed @ADAMANTIUM I’d find out where everyone has been for two weeks So, what did I miss?
  2. I think the min is 25 still, but they gave credit for sending 48 in the same box?
  3. We’ve all been there my friend . Sorry it happened to you on a really nice book.
  4. Sorry @BigDaddy1 a 7.5 for that book is a tough grade. I didn’t see the Dist. Ink on your pics in the initial post. It doesn’t show as moderate for sure. For what it’s worth, here’s my thoughts on the grade deductions (Start at 10.0): Moderate distribution ink whole book -.4 tear with crease right top of back cover -.6 for crease & -.8 for tear very light creasing to cover - .4 very light spine stress to cover -.4 Grade would be 7.4 You had this book cleaned and pressed by a professional? The reason I ask is because it looks like there are waves on the bottom edge of the BC in the slab. These could be from a bad pressing. May be an optical illusion from the photo, When you look at the BC in the slab do you see what I’m talking about? BTW-to edit the topic title got to the bottom of your original post and click Edit
  5. I agree that there won’t be a grade bump. It will just present better, if that’s a consideration for the OP.
  6. 4.0. I always wondered why the Torch’s suitcases didn’t catch on fire?
  7. 9.6!! What the was the grader looking at? 👀
  8. Tell me your grade for this Avengers Annual 10. There are a few issues. Extra close up shots added. Thanks for looking!
  9. I think a properly cleaned and pressed book of this age always looks better. There are some white areas and spine ticks that could be improved. However, you might want to be careful with that bottom staple if you press the book. Find out the cost of the CPR first to make sure it’s what you want to spend overall when you add grading and shipping.
  10. Here are the TATs reported on this board within the last ~30 days All Non-Fast Tracked (no. of working days) : Modern: 12,12,12,12,12,11,12,13 Value: 13,12,13,14 Economy: 13 There is the “stated” TATS, then there’s reality I also snapped this from the site on 5/28. It was updated later that day Lets all enjoy while it lasts! Thanks CGC
  11. I should have said that this is based on my recent experience In May when I sent a Modern and a Value submission together. The dates are somewhat irrelevant. The point was that; Modern subs have been going to SFG right before grading starts, but Value subs go to SFG right after being received at CGC. That’s what I experienced and seems to be the same behavior other boardies are discussing.
  12. Here is what I’ve learned about the difference between Value and Modern tier submission schedules. Modern-Rec. 6/1.......SFG 6/15..G/QC 6/16..FIS 6/17 Value-Rec. 6/1..SFG 6/2.... ....G/QC 6/17...FIS 6/19 Make sense? Modern subs go SFG right before grading and Value subs go to SFG right after receiving.
  13. FYI - This is the response I received from CS when I asked why my Modern sub hasn’t gone to SFG yet: “Thanks for your email. I don't see any notes referencing any issues with this submission. It's just in our lineup for grading with the modern grading tier. Usually the longest wait is getting into the grading room, once there the time should speed up when it goes to encapsulation etc.“ My books shipped three/four days after moving to SFG.
  14. Please give me your grade on This Machine Man 1. Thanks for looking!
