I have my signed 181 at 8.0 listed for 10K...

The high cost is do to stupid fools that belive you can only get a top notch education at a school that cost 40k a year. Thats total BS. I am a proud graduate with a chemistry degree from the state university of ny at storybook. WITH room and board it was 10k a year. Even now it's only about 15k a year. Now who wants to tell me that chemistry is different at Harvard or NYU vs state school! I plan on telling my girls if they want to go to a 50k a year school's vs state school then they better find a way to pay for it because it's a waste of money. Just my .02

When they are done with college is when I officially stop working and retire. I have a home on and island in greece and a home in pune India. I plan on splitting up my time between those 2 places and where my girls are so I need to be mobile. My comics will serve a purpose but in the end u can't take them with you... got to enjoy life.

Interesting that a shop would willingly decline a cgc grade

looking at the ebay listing for the 1:1000 variant, three of them are being sold without a CGC grade. I know boom set up this signing with cgc that after the signing they would go directly for grading and then shipped back to the shops. This was done at the publishers office so the shops only touch them once they are graded. I am going to assume these are cracked copies being sold as raw. There is one that looks like in bad shape for a new print, I am going to assume that's the 9.2 on the registry as the 9.4 has its own listing. the other 2 I will assume they were 9.6's because no one in there right mind will crack a 9.8. So I am going to assume that according to the registry and what is listed on ebay that there are only 3 9.6's left with the rest being 9.8's. I want to assume this because i haven't received my copy yet and i was dreading the possibility of a not getting a 9.8

I plan on paying college for my girls with my keys collection at this rate. Pickup up a GSXM 1 on ebay last april, 9.4 that wasnt pressed. paid 3800 Sent it in for claremont earlier this year and pressed it. came back a 9.6. According to ebay i can cover 1st year tuition just one that book alone. KEEP RISING BUBBLE!!!!!!

At least my copy is not the 9.4 as I just saw it on sale on ebay. Bidding starting at 1900 just for that one....

I am repeating the facts that were presented to me by people more knowledgeable about the situation than me. If i am wrong.... THEN PROVE IT.... otherwise save YOUR assumptions.

The ones on ebay are being sold by shops that ordered the 1000 copies just like my shop did to get the variant. So u can buy it on ebay but publisher is not making more.. And yes the 1:1000 variant is signed only. No selling blank.

Sucks for the guy getting a 9.2 and 9.4 on a new print... ouch

Here is something I just realized. Because the publisher teamed up with cgc for the 1:1000 signing, the CGC registry will have an accurate total of how many copies exist since it went from publisher to signing to cgc directly.

The 1:1000 variant was only available during the pre order period. U can't get one after the fact to get signed. It won't exist

For every 1000 copies u get 1 1:1000 2 1:500 5 1:200. Etc. They are like 15 variant covers. Not to mention there is a rumor that Keanu will not sign any of the 1st issues outside of the initial insetive to help make the 1:1000 unique. Again just a rumor I heard. Dont quote me on it.

1st issue sold about 620000 copies. Which means there are only 620 copies of the signed cover 1:1000.... rarity has value my friend... don't hate the player... hate the game.

Dude take it easy. For you it may be asinine to spend 2k on a chance, but for some its no different then buying stock!!!! And an FYI the average sell price on EBAY for BRZKR keanu sig copy went for about 3K, so OP and me are already ahead of the game, for now... Just because you wouldn't do it for whatever reason as well as the fact that for some 2k is not a big chance, doesnt make it right for you to step on someone's neck. (asinine, ridiculous) Also I used GSXM 1 as a comparison about taking a chance, i know it depends on how any movie does. Just look at blood shot!!!! rai 0 was worth MORE before the movie. The movie sucked.... And don't tell me u knew that a GSXM 1 at 9.6 was going to hit 40K when last year is was about 5 or 6k at the most!!! And I took a chance at the price of 3800. And if the BRSKR movie is a Keanu hit, then what??? Will you tolerate me chasing you all over the boards saying I told you so????
