  1. I thought it was pretty cool for WWII era comics to show up on a yard sale site so sorry for the false alarm haha.  Got a kick out of the comments and did appreciate the input.  I did buy the books, no I'm not planning to retire on them but do hope to break even plus a little just for fun.

BTW, did get a coverless More Fun Comics 75 in there too.

To that point, how likely is it a cover would ever appear for something like this?

  2. Sorry guys I was driving so it was spotty posting

it was an online yard sale and the guy went from $500 to $1000 during my commute. I got him to $300 but got some coverless stuff too that I need to check out a little more thorough. Hopefully you were at least entertained with the post. I appreciate the input

  3. Wondering how this would grade, couple of questions about it. I'll point out what I think could be drawbacks.  I'd be interested in opinions.

1.) my initial concern is this discoloring below the "A" and "N" in Gaiman on front bottom left side of the book. It is not a physical imperfection to the touch, cover is smooth with no scrapes or grooves.  I found another 2 examples pretty quickly on ebay, links below, and one is graded 9.8 so maybe they're not counting off for this.  I'd like to hear others' thoughts

2.) Probably hard to tell but there is 2 spine ticks that don't appear to break color, I've got closeups below, maybe they'll show up.

3.) Bottom and top corners on spine side are a little soft.

So assuming the odd printing is accepted as normal for this book, does a press on the spine ticks improve this book to a 9.6 range?

    Question, turnaround time on reholder

Received book in damaged slab, no damage to shipping box at all so had to leave the shop in this shape which I'm a little frustrated by.  They allowed me to return it due to mechanical error to reholder free of charge.  I was under the impression this would be expedited through the process since it was clearly a problem on their end but doesn't look to be the case.  Book shows received 2/24.  Looking like it's going to be every bit of standard reholder estimated timing and maybe then some.  Anybody had this done lately?  Hoping they wrap it up this week....

Received the book yesterday, 4 weeks 1 day from received status.  I called last week and was able to get someone to push it through.
