  2. That seems a bit long. But they told me last week they are out of custom labels. Maybe the label shortage is more widespread. Not sure.
  3. Not sure if this helps, but my Jim Lee was at CCS until Friday. I believe the signing was 11/28/23, so it missed the 2 week expedited turn time by a bit.

  8. If I remember correctly, once it’s in GQC you can look at the submission. If it doesn’t say Modern or Universal as the category I believe that book is a miss. I haven’t done a prescreen in so long I forget. The charge amount works too. Although twice I was just charged the full amount. Once, I actually went 25/25, but the other time they said we put the rest as a credit on your account, what’s the problem. So that was weird that time I got charged for all of them.

HIGH Value Sub (1 Book) Delivered: 11/17/23 SFG: 11/22/23 GEI: 11/28/23 GQC: 11/30/23 Shipped: 12/13/23 I called last week to ask if there was an issue as I’m not used to seeing GQC for a week and I was never charged. They said it was completed, but on hold for payment. I said please charge me then, which the rep did while I was on the phone. I was told it should ship out in a 1-3 days, but it ended up taking 5 business days Confusing situation as they always just charge me when the box is opened or at GEI. I am not entirely sure the explanation I was given about being on hold for payment is accurate. Maybe I should of called sooner when I wasn’t charged at GEI. But also why was I not contacted for payment then, which I had them run the card on the invoice too. Oh well. On its way home and got the grade I estimated.
  10. I’ve called twice on one that has been graded since 11/2. Both reps I’ve spoke with have no good answer other than the move. I’ve tried to ask shouldn’t stuff that got pushed aside be moved ahead, but it sounds like it’s slab whatever is in front of you. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, I feel like the move didn’t go as planned for whatever reason. It’s easy for me to sit back and judge after the fact. That’s why the increased turn time on Moderns make me feel like they are admitting there is a delay they are still working through. (So I guess it’s not all Greggy ) I actually really appreciate your updates. Lot of information when you have several subs and it’s interesting how they move different.

  14. Is the move completed? If you can share that information. I thought things were running fairly smoothly just prior to NYCC personally, but that’s not to say improvements can’t be made either.
  15. I called Friday and was told things should be moving this week and next week like normal. The possible move was not confirmed by the rep I spoke with, but CGC Mike’s comment above seems clear. That being said the rep seemed surprised when she looked up the order and said they were graded 11/2 and not slabbed. Hopefully if it was the move or NYCC and things are almost normal again. We have all become accustomed to the quicker speeds lately and being stuck in GEI is no fun when you’re so close. But I don’t want to go bad to the old days of months so it’s still not all that bad.
  16. Good luck and thanks for sharing. This inhouse move might explain the delay in mine since I hit GEI and stayed there since 11/2 I believe. But I’m just outside of the TAT and I was pretty sure NYCC threw a lot at them so things aren’t that bad for me. About to send another order today too.

  18. This is so weird. It’s been there for all my recent books since they turned it on for me too. Maybe it was sent in before they included imaging for free on the Verify Cert page.

  21. Has anyone had anything go to GEI lately? I have a modern slow boat that was SFG 10/11 but nothing as of yet. I am thinking NYCC Unlimited Value, High Value, Fast Track Submissions and maybe some of the NYCC signings have caused a temporary blip. There were actually a lot of NYCC in-house signings if I recall.
  22. I honestly believe it has to do with the tracking and accounting of them for licensing purposes. I know they tell me they are preprinted in limited quantities. However, it is hard to imagine some scenario where they are running low and they get a flood of new submissions requesting that label and simultaneously a lot of ME’s for that label. Back to my point, it’s just easier to track when one is sold in the submission form and the ME form doesn’t have that option.
  23. I called and Mechanical Errors in general do not get custom labels again. With the quantities, retired labels, etc… it’s just not something in the process. Since I was unaware of this they were kind enough to refund my $5 I paid for it originally. Good to know, but not the best answer for Mechanical Error issues in general. Essentially you have to choose to live with the Mechanical Error or pay for a Re-holder with label. I bet if you called ahead and said you want an account credit to cover the majority of the Reholder they would be helpful. Customer service has been top notch lately, this is just a policy thing with labels and Mechanical Errors, which I understand is out of the Customer service folks control.
  24. This literally just happened to me. I am going to call tomorrow. At this point I’m not sure if I just want my $5 back or to go through the whole ME process again. Maybe if you call tomorrow you can get it halted and changed before shipping.
