  1. Deja vu as I just contributed to the same topic on another board :) My first experience in realising that it was possible to purchase originals by my fave comics artists occurred when I went into a Sydney comic shop called "The Land Beyond Beyond" in 1988 and sighted 2 framed pages on the wall for sale!

One was a Marshall Rogers Daughters of the Dragon splash page from Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu which I agonised over before finally making the purchase - after all it was $150.00 back in 1988!

Here's the page which is still in my collection many years later:

  2. Just picked up my first acquisition for 2013 in the shape of a fabulous page from All New X-men (#2, page 13) by Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger whom I consider a wonderful combination of stellar talents! Hope you enjoy checking it out :)

The page features Wolverine leaping out at the younger, time-displaced versions of Jean and Scott:

  3. Not sure if I've mentioned these pages before but I've searched for both for quite a few years now and done all the usual things (searched CAF, contacted dealers who handled the artist's work etc.) without success.

First up is a Marshall Rogers Daughters of the Dragon frontispiece from Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu #33 -

I have the matching Daughters of the Dragon frontispiece splash from Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu #32 but would love the second one if possible. Here's a pic of the first one - http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=31795&GSub=65022

The second piece is from the Wolverine Nick Fury: Scorpio Connection illustrated by Howard Chaykin - 0012.jpg

This has personal significance to me and I'd love to find it but no luck after many years of searching. Maybe one day........ Best,

  4. One of my most recent commissions is one of my all-time favourites as it's by industry legend Joe Kubert and features Enemy Ace, the Hammer from Hell!

Hopefully, I did this right and you can see the image but if you can't see it, I've included a link as well -

  5. I only have occasional opportunities to "announce" art acquisitions so I'm very pleased to mention the arrival this week of an awesome title splash by Howard Chaykin from American Flagg #23, page 6! You can see the piece here - http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=491268&GSub=65065

I'm delighted with the page and would like to thank long-distance mate, Felix Lu for parting with it! Best,
