Wow! Congratulations on the store. I've never seen a comic shop with hardwood floors before. It looks so classy.

Like so many others, I also dreamed of owning a comic shop when I was a kid. Believe it or not, I wanted it to be connected to a pizza place, with giant signs warning people to go to the comic shop first before grabbing a slice at the pizza place.

You are a comic shops wet dream.  You have some pretty nice minor key books that will go for nice money (ie Spidey 31 and Daredevil 4) but you will have to do some of the work to make some decent cash.  i would recommend looking up past sales on e-bay (there is a tab you can click on the left side half way down to see see sold books after you search for the item).  There are so few books you can list them each for free with good pictures and either go the auction route or place a buy It Now and wait for the sales to come to you.  However - if you only want $2 a book I'd be happy to pay you $30 for the batch and you can wash your hands of them

I think I underestimated how much these are worth. I'm awful at grading, so when I compared my books to recent sales on eBay I didn't think mine were comparable. I'll have to do more research and figure out how much time I want to put into selling these books. Thanks for the advice.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question but I'm looking for advice about selling a few dozen very low-grade Silver Age comics I inherited from family members. I've read and enjoyed them but it's time for them to move on. I took pictures of some of them. The pictures aren't great but they'll give you an idea of the condition.

What's the best way to sell these? List them by title on eBay? List the Marvel comics in one lot and the Gold Key in another? List them as a single lot on eBay? Bring them to a local comic store? Based on sold listings on eBay, the Daredevil #4 and some of the Amazing Spider-Man issues may be worth something. If I bring these to a local store, what should I realistically expect for comics like these? $1 a book? $2 a book?

Basically, I'm wondering what's the easiest way to sell these comics. Thanks.

I’m sure I’ve read comments from head honchos at Marvel swearing it isn’t cheaper to use newsprint.

I wasn't planning on getting this but I was at a comic store this afternoon and they were having a 50% off sale so I picked up the last copy they had on the shelf. It's the Greg Hildebrandt variant. Haven't had a chance to read it yet.

I just had a 10% eBay Bucks promotion end and a week or two ago there was an 8% offer. I think once I’ve had a 13% offer but only through the eBay app. I don’t remember ever getting a percent off coupon.

I hadn’t heard of Artgerm until recently when I was browsing Fantastic Four #1 variants. His Sue Storm is incredible. I only see the comic (regular variant and virgin) on eBay, are there prints as well?

I don't have anything to contribute to this thread but I just want to say this is the kind of research and discussion about comic books I love reading about here. Keep up the good work.

Everything in my low-grade SA FF collection pales in comparison to all these 9.0+ beauties.

I'd love to have a full run of Night Nurse (I already have Shanna the She-Devil #1-5 and Claws of the Cat #1-4) but prices for #1 and #4 are too high for my budget. I picked up #2 and #3 for a steal years ago when few people cared about the character.

Would this be the sort of thing CGC kept track of? Do they have a database?

My initial thought was maybe as high as 8.0 but after reading everyone else's comments I agree it's probably closer to a 7.0. A very nice book.

That's too bad. I've never had a true local comic book store. There was one the next town over when I was 10 or 11 but I wasn't buying new comics back then. For about a year or so there was one on my commute to work before that job ended. Otherwise, I've almost always been 25-30 minutes away which is too far. I wish I had a LCS nearby where I could get to know the owners and other regulars and have people to talk comic books about.
