  1. Hey guys, Recently picked up this CGC 9.6 Venom 3 for a very good price. When I got it, this was the only defect I could find on the entire book. Was contemplating cracking it for sigs and a possible press……. but is this something a good press can rectify? The spine stress appears right below what I like to call a corner “scrunch”. What do you guys think? The difference between a 9.6 and a 9.8 is a few hundred dollars for this book. Thanks!
  2. As the title states, just wondering how significant of a drop in grade would be given for the tiny corner crease here. There appears to be a small spine tick by carnage’s hand @ the spine, and a few non color breaking stresses on the back which could likely be pressed out. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the response. Not sure if it’s worth it at only a 9.4/9.6 🤷🏻‍♂️. That damn crease in the spine
  4. As the title states.... wondering what people think would be a fair price to pay for this book. I haven’t seen any recent eBay/online listings for it. For reference, it appears to have one spine tick which probably cannot be pressed out...... and thus it is likely 9.4-9.6 condition at best. Below is a picture of the book. I intend to have it graded and was given the price of $110 + shipping.
  5. You make excellent points. The seller never Claimed it was a 9.8 mint book, and was clear about the one spine tick. I just don’t know if a 9.6 is worth the $120 he’s asking. I know this isn’t the right forum for pricing questions, I just can’t find any recent eBay sales to go based on.
  6. I was given a firm offer of $120. These variants are hot but I’m curious if anyone thinks that’s worth it knowing it would likely come back as a 9.6 (can’t find any eBay comps)
  7. Yeah it’s just tough to tell based on the pics I got. Just wondering if the price is worth it knowing it will likely only be graded at a 9.6 best case scenario
  8. Pressable? Or no. It’s tough to tell from pics but that’s the best I could get.
  9. As the thread implies, wondering what you think this would be graded as. As best I can tell, there is only 1 minor spine tick. If it’s not at least a 9.6, I’ll pass on the book unless it’s able to be pressed out (which I doubt). Thanks!
  10. I thought venom 9 was first appearance? I guess I was mistaken
  11. Can anyone tell me why in the current run of Venom.....issue #7 (specifically the Frankie’s comic Crain variant) blew up the past 2 months or so. I feel like it quadrupled over night almost. And as far as I know it’s not a first appearance or key. Thanks!
  12. Anything here look cleanable/pressable to increase the grade to mid 9’s? Obviously not that clear mid-cover color breaking tick.
  13. As the title says.... wondering what people think cgc would grade this as. From what I can see the corners look pretty solid, but it appears to have 2, maybe 3 spine ticks. I’m thinking a 9.2-9.4? But I’m no expert hence the question. Thanks for looking!
  14. Hello all! New to this forum, but have a quick question. I recently got back into collecting comics, and discovered an old lethal protector #1 gold version I had gotten back when I was a kid. It appears to be in excellent condition, except for a crease in the top left corner of the book. Im wondering if it would be a good candidate for a pressing, as I think it could potentially receive a 9.6 or better if this one defect was removed. Any advice? If better pictures are required please let me know... the comic is in a hazy plastic encasement that I taped the edges. If necessary I can remove it for more clear pictures. Thanks!
