^ This is true. There exist 9.4-9.8 books with corners like this. Whether that is correct or not is of personal opinion. Not on a 9.8 for me but if its literally the only real flaw, I could see 9.4-9.6
I really wanna see what this comes back at!
I will definitely post the outcome

Planning to sell. These were my brother's comics
-
Also posted a Spider-Man 101 - would much appreciate you all weighing in on that one. Thanks!

Thanks, yeah, that corner is such a damn shame! Do you think having it pressed would help that corner grade up? I am new to this so forgive a stupid question. Comics belonged to my brother.
-
The grade is in -- 8.5. Wondering if I should've had it pressed. Here are the grader notes. Seems like two of them maybe would've been fixed or improved with pressing?
light writing indent center of front cover
small, multiple crease full top of back cover
spine stress lines breaks color
very light wear full bottom of front cover breaks colorThoughts?

Not sure what a dust shadow is but there is some discoloration, you are right

If you get that crease pressed, I think you can get a 9.2. Without a press, I'm thinking 8.5-9.0.
So that is how grading works? Forgive my ignorance... but if I submit it for pressing and grading, they press it first and then grade?
-
How does the book look to you otherwise, Rob? And thanks.

Could I also get your opinion on the Captain America 155 I posted? It's a clean book but has three pages that weren't trimmed. Curious of grade and if they would deduct for production glitch like that?
-
Thank you. These were my brother's comics so I am a bit out of my element.
-
It's a small crease, Rob. What do you think?

Curious how it would affect value? Would it get a lesser CGC grade? Be less desirable to a collector? Or some might want because it's a 'freak' :-)

Is it something it would be graded down for?

I have a super clean copy of a comic that has three pages that were somehow not trimmed. There is about half an inch of extra paper at the bottom right corner on both sides. The book's were my brother's and he kept them safely boarded and bagged and didn't touch this issue in any way. So how does this affect value? I've had collectors tell me it both adds and subtracts so I'm just left scratching my head -- I am not myself a collector, just the recipient of this collection. Any input is appreciated!

in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

Super cool cover. Book looks like it wasn't even read. BUT there is again age discoloration on the back.
