Confirmed with CGC. They are, indeed, sold out. According to CGC, most remarques sell out "in minutes".

In particular, I notice that the Adam Hughes event page lists a remarque option for the first 50 submitters, but the only option on the drop-down for Hughes is a signature. I assume that means you've already hit the 50 submitters limit.

Going from a 9.6 to 9.4 drops about $100, so it's not a big issue. Going from 9.6 to 9.8 takes it up $500. 

Can a book like this be pressed? It's an SDCC convention foil variant of WW 26. It's not raised, like Silver Surfer 50, but it is shiny and seems like a different material than normal comics. I have a copy that has about 4 non-color-breaking stress lines on front and back that I believe a press could remove entirely, but I don't want to damage the book if it's not appropriate for pressing. 

And yes, I am thinking about this in context of the Gal Gadot signing coming up :-)

This is my first submission here (I'm a little nervous). It's a Silver Age Fantastic Four 61 with Kirby drawn Sandman. The book appears to have been pressed before I purchased it several years back.

Edges look very nice for a Silver book. Tiny wave near the spine causing some reflectivity (not wear) back at the camera.

CGC graders will know only that the book is Signature Series and have no knowledge of the previous grade or any work performed by CCS.

Yeah, taking photos of a slabbed book seems pretty difficult given the reflectivity of the case. I'm not sure what can be done about that.

My understanding is that pressings usually come with cleaning? That's why I'm calling it a clean and press, not because it needs a clean.

Long story short, as a newbie at grading, I submitted a book that could have used a clean & press, but I didn't know anything about that then, and got a 9.6. I've since learned more and that there are "pressable defects" that can be eliminated with a clean and press. 

I have a 9.6 Secret Wars SS Shooter, Beaty, Zeck. The grader notes say:

Does "spine stress lines" mean breaking color or just detectable by finger? The edge of the comic is off-white and looking the comic through the slab, I personally can't see any breaking color lines. 

The current difference between a 9.6 and 9.8 is roughly $500. 

Would it make sense for me to have the slab cracked, have it cleaned and pressed, and then re-submitted in the attempt to get a 9.8?

I wanted to get my Wolverine mini-series signed by both Claremont and Miller, but was told that's not possible, that I would have to pick one or the other. So, I've decided to hold off for another day.

How does one go about getting two signatures for a book, especially when it has both a prominent author and artist? 

Today, I received an email about submitting books for a special private Frank Miller signing. However, upon reading the details, it seems that the event is related to MEGACON Orlando,

" to be signed around the time of MEGACON Orlando. The fan-favorite event has been rescheduled for June 4-7, and many of the biggest names in the comic book industry have confirmed their attendance for the new dates."

Let me be frank (pun intended): there is zero chance of the event going on as planned. I'm sure that people are trying, but when you listen to what people are saying about getting back to normal,  including Bill Gates, they talk about manufacturing coming back in weeks to months, school returning in the Fall, etc. But they also say that "social distancing" will be the new norm until a vaccine is developed (2021) and that gatherings of > 50 people shouldn't happen. 

My question: does CGC have backup plans for when (not if) the conference is canceled? Would they ship books to Frank at home to be signed and returned?
