  1. Biggest ? Is will a press make it a better grade? Just because it has never been pressed doesn't mean grade will improve. And most sellers if you ask them has it been pressed they are going to say no. What are they gonna say, I tried twice and couldn't get a higher grade. Even if it was pressed so what? Did a actual good presser do it or was it a guy in his parents basement with a tshirt press or a large business that does thousands of books and just runs it through as fast as they can? How bad do you want his Signature and or how much is the price pump vs the risk of damage to book and cost? If a press can't help is the book a sure thing to come back a 9.4? Is book a 9.3 or is it a 9.4 9.5? Can't tell you what to do but I gave you your answer. Answer those ?s then make a decision.
  2. I am not seeing a buyer's market yet. Least not on 3 and 4 figure books. And I been browsing everything just to see. Hulk 181 and AF 15 been trending down before covid. Dunno if there will be a buyer's market. Only if 20 percent unemployment last into the summer. Then only common books and books that people with a lot of money have no interest in will drop. Variants, new mutants, bat 12, and basically most high print books. Right now people are getting irs refunds and stimulus checks. Even in 2008 2009 with the housing market crash and $4 a gallon gas comics didn't miss a beat. Every dealer and seller I talked to had best sales in years if not ever.
  3. Back when comics were popular. Buy them at grocery drug store, gas station. I used to get them delivered to my mail box. Average grade Vf. You still can get them delivered last I checked. 2016 2017 had a few subs. 8.5 9.0 range. 40% off price though. I gave new comics a try to support local shop when rebirth was 2.99 and store gave a discount if you bought so many titles of them. Then dc raised price back to 3.99 that was it. Regret getting them at 2.99. 2.99 x 70 or 117 or whatever could of bought me a real book. Art was good in them though.
  4. 8 hawk 4's slabbed sold on ebay in past 24 hours or so. All buy now. I will read it tonight to see how story and interior art are. I don't like the cover and never found a good enough price on one so dont own it.
  5. For 853 a year I would want my entire collection insured and able to keep it at my house and possibly even cover books during transit. The state farm or similar option sounds great. Every 10 years you pay insurance on one book you could buy a ten grand comic. I like to gamble. No insurance here. Insurance companies make a lot of money. Why because people pay for something they never use. You are fine with keeping book in bank safety box. What are the odds the bank burns down or boxes get robbed? Great enough to pay for that insurance? Now if you let people know about your valuables, use space heaters, live in flood area, smoke in bed, or ship media mail then you need insurance. At least try to get a better deal. Your insurance sounds like the worst thing ever. You buy it from the talking lizard or what.
