REPLACES DRAGON CON / ACE, INC. Dragon Con will Continue the Agreements With Hotels, Guests and Performers. ATLANTA – July 8, 2013 – The Board of Directors and Shareholders of Dragon Con / ACE, Inc., producer of Dragon*Con, Atlanta’s internationally known pop culture, fantasy and sci-fi convention, have agreed to merge the company into Dragon Con, Inc. (Dragon Con) in a cash-out merger. Led by Pat Henry, David Cody and Robert Dennis, ownership of Dragon Con includes five of the six founding owners of Dragon Con / ACE (the old Dragon Con). The effective date of the merger is July 8, 2013. Edward Kramer, who has not had any role in managing or organizing the convention since 2000, was offered cash for his shares in the old company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “This decision only affects the ownership of the old Dragon Con,” said Pat Henry, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Con. “Our members and others who attend Dragon*Con 2013 will experience the same fantastic convention they have come to expect from us.” Dragon Con will continue the agreements with each of the host and overflow hotels associated with the convention as well as all of the guests and performers scheduled to appear at this year’s event, either “as is” or with amendments recognizing Dragon Con as owner.
  10. I dont think they can pull a switch now and go back to their original Plan... If they do they are setting themselves up for major lawsuits What they can do is make awesome games that follow this original game plan. Want to play Halo 5? Oh, that requires checking in online. Excited for the new Gears of War? Install your copy to the hard drive, and get a free weapons pack and bonus levels. And so on... Thats a publisher thing... If microsoft implements it at the console level thats different.

  12. If they hadn't have changed their mind, the Xbox One would have been Microsoft's last foray in consoles. I don't remember if it was them or HP that had a major tablet flop, but if it was them then a flop with the Xbox could settle them firmly back into software and nothing more, and even Windows is losing market share, isn't it? That would have been bad for them all around. It was HP
  13. Could be she was caught with three woman in the womens room.
  14. That is correct for Xbox. Think so on the PS4, but you will need PS Plus to play mutliplayer on the PS4. On PS4 no Plus needed to access Netflix but yes on the Multiplayer. Kida sucks you end up paying twice for Nextflix on Xbox
  15. I heard and I could be wrong in order to access Netflix and other non X-box Content you need to have a Xbox gold account on teh Xbox 1. With PS4 you do not need to have any kind of membership
  16. If anything the industry needs one machine less, not one machine more. I would say its not a market they need to go into. Then again, I would have said the same thing about the phone market before the iphone Apple is hedging the casual gamers market. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember reading a story that said that more games are played on Apple devices than consoles and other smartphones/tablets. Those are just casual games that dont compare to the console pc games.
  17. I can share a PS4 game with as many people as I want who are not in my familly. I wonder How Companies like EA will cope with the two systems having two different DRM methods
  18. Are they sayin most of Europe, China and Africa dont have internet?
  19. I checked worldwide release dates... Looks like they wont be showing it in Canada as it has no release date
  20. Yoshida: 'PS4 is region free'. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/06/11/yoshida-ps4-is-region-free/..The PlayStation 4 is "region free," according to Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida. At Monday's E3 conference, Sony announced its new console will launch at $399, and comes with "no restrictions" on used games. Afterwards, Yoshida took to Twitter with the extra bit of PS4 news. It's unclear if Yoshida's statement indicates the PS4 will be region-free in the same way the PS3 is. The PS3 can play game discs no matter which geographical region they're tied to, minus the sole exception of Persona 4 Arena. There are region-based PlayStation Network restrictions when it comes to downloadable games on the PS3. Update: When approached about Yoshida's comment, a Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson gave us the following statement: "In general, neither digital or disc-based games will be region locked, but we recommend users purchase games at the region of their residence to guarantee the best overall consumer experience (eg, customer service). In addition, certain software makers' game titles may be region locked."
