  1. Another recent pick-up of mine...posted in my trooper thread.
  2. Don't know why I picked this up, perhaps for the cool story....
  3. No problem Jeffro, I have two of those GIC #9's now. Two copies went up for sale in one week on ebay, so I snagged them both.
  4. How can you grant something pedigree status and then take it away? That is ridiculous. they should take away pedigree status for all X-Men books. No one likes them anyway
  5. How can you grant something pedigree status and then take it away? That is ridiculous. they should take away pedigree status for all X-Men books. No one likes them anyway I thought you were drunk? That must account for your opinion. Huh? My opinion is gospel, heed it and you shall be rewarded. And by rewarded I mean I'll refrain from putting a boot in some un-mentionable orifice in one self-proclaimed Doctor. If you smell cheese, just back slowly away. That's for later...just ordered some Papa John's pizza...mmmmmmmmm pizzzaaaaa

  8. suuuurrrreeeee you did............. "Ack!" and "Thbbbt!" and, I found a GiC 9 in chicago, but passed because you had it (it was only a g/vg but I saw one!) gator I actually have two GI Combat #9's now, right after I got the GD copy I found a VG+ copy not two days later, so I bought that one too. Weird.
  9. shhhhhhh....we don't need another "incident"
  10. Sweet book, Sean! Did you get that from the Comic Heaven auction? I apparently won a couple of Lost Valley Tip Tops but I just got the invoice a couple of days ago. I actually won it on eBay. And I was actually NOT sniped in the last seconds, which I would have bet money would happen. I looked like this guy - - when I realized I wasn't sniped. I love the war-era Rip Carson stories also. Great propoganda of the type you don't see anymore in our "enlightened" era. You're lucky I have the Crippen copy of that book, or you would have been sniped
  11. Although I lost all the books I was bidding on during the recent Heritage auction....I'm actually glad when I found this on ebay. Surprised no one hit the bin on this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140144389097&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=004 Bang-Up Comics #2 CGC 8.0 Rockford (only one on the census) good things come to those who wait. and also this gem: US Paratroops #2 Beth. Pedigree 9.0 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140131452426&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=004
  12. I just want to say I own one, and for $50 why not? The guy probably has High hopes for this book, or looking for a sucker.
  13. No joke! I love ebay for zaniness like that. Shep Going to email him and give him a low ball offer of $50, see if he takes it....probably not though.
  14. Most of you guys suck most of your posts suck
  15. Definitely competition for some of the keys (both major and minor). Unless you've got your heart set on a high grade copy I do think that you'll get a chance at a mid-grade copy. There are some out there and these prices should draw one out. My thoughts exactly, if one is patient....these books at that grade could be found for much cheaper. I'm in no rush to get every trooper book out there in HG, going for completion first then upgrades. But if I see a upgrade along the way, at a cheap price I'll snatch it up. I'm wondering how many of these books that were purchased at many multiples of guide can be resold for that much? It also seems very apparent that DC war collector tend to keep these books in their collection for a long extended period of time. Whereas the GA/SA Marvel collectors tend to flip them more often. Might be a little biased here, but I think I'm seeing a trend.
  16. GI Combat #44 CGC 9.0 just ended for $1,700!!! I thought my $1,500 bid would take. Oh well, really wanted that book too.
  17. Damn, now I have to add another book to my WTB list...
  18. That's a hell of a lot better than that piece'o'krap that Golden did for $500. Yet one more reason to love Heath.
  19. Sweet sniper page! Heath, even in the copper era, is still as awesome as the GA era. Congrats and sweet page.
