  1. This is one of the many reasons that I have mostly stopped submitting books…
  2. This is disappointing, it provides no accountability for your team.
  3. I can understand no grader notes for 9.6 or better, maybe even 9.4... could be a bunch of non-descriptive defects that take away from the overall presentation. However, when did CGC get so lazy theat they don't do grader notes for 9.0 or 8.5? At these grades there are tangible defect that should be easily seen by the naked eye and noted. However, I just got back more than a couple 9.0 that I cannot see any defect s... and guess what, no grader notes clarify and show me what I just paid CGC for. This is disappointing. I know you are busy, but this is just lazy and you are not giving your customers value anymore...
  4. I will email. Does CGC also cover shipping costs in this circumstance?
  5. Just got back a Venom 7 Secret ("tongue") variant. CGC did not note that it was a secret variant. I have seen others for sale that do specifically indicate on the label that it is a Secret Variant. Is this something that CGC is supposed to note during grading? Is are you supposed to call this out for them during the submission process? It went through my LCS so I cannot say how it was submitted, but assume that CGC, as the "experts" should catch this while grading. Curious for feedback on the process prior to going back to my LCS.
  6. I always have my books pressed. Recently started using not CCS, but I submitted these books before it all went to Hell.
  7. Holy shneikies! So that with CCS pressing is over 320 business days! You have got to be effin kidding me! A year and a half real time to get my books back!
  8. I submitted comics under the "Value" tier prior to the discontinuation at the price update around August. These turnaround times are no longer addressed in the fees page. What are turnaround times can be expected for this no longer in service Tier?
  9. Seems ask CGC gets you a partial answer and then just a bunch of opinions... no wonder we are all frustrated. Who wants to start a comic grading company?
  10. Hi Jennifer, I appreciate your response, but I believe you only addressed a portion of the question. You have clarified that the turnaround times are indeed a moving target. While this is disappointing and unacceptable, CGC has already stated it will not return books already shipped so doesn't seem we have many options unless it gets bad enough for litigation. Question two was not addressed... When can we expect this to start getting better? I also believe that someone else asked a valid question... what is CGC doing to make it better. Training is important, that will take time. What is being done to ensure that the efforts are going to the backlog and not new initiatives? Question three was also not addressed... Please provide more insight into the transfer process from CCS to CGC. Are there check-in delays when the book is transferred from CCS to CGC for grading? Or is this fluid and will not add any additional delays?
  11. When price increases were announced it was framed that the additional costs were used to support the additional workload and decrease turnaround times. Since this increase and announcement, turnaround times have consistently and regularly increased with even standard tier having tripled its turnaround times since November of 2020 (20 days versus currently 60 days). Please provide an update on when CGC will begin to see the intended results of the price increases take effect and turnaround times begin to decrease as opposed to the regular increases observed. Additionally please clarify what timelines apply... those from the time of submission or is this a moving target. For example, I have books that were submitted through a facilitator in December of 2020 for CCS pressing and subsequent grading. At the time the turnaround was stated as 99 days for pressing and 43 days for modern grading so expected return end of JUL 2021 incorporating shipping/check-in times. Current times are 112 days pressing and 80 days grading for modern; which would mean a mid-October return date (just shy of a full calendar year FYI!). When should I expect my books? Are there additional check-in issues/delays when the book is transferred between CCS and CGC for grading? Or is this seamless? This situation has caused myself and many other to stop submitting books as well as to begin evaluating alternate sources for the services you offer. I hope there is some real light at the end of the tunnel and a realistic timeline for when this will start to get better. I like the CGC product, but will only stand for so much sub-par service.
  12. At this point, fast track should not be offered until they dig out of the backlog. The concept of fast-track is that you pay extra so that you get your books quicker. That extra money should not stop work on regular orders, the extra funds should be paying to go to the top of an overtime initiative. With the backlog, there should not be available man hours to put towards a Fast Track initiative. We are seeing that... instead of fast track being a faster option, it is ultimately extending the regular times and the fast track times because the system is overloaded. This is bad management and has lead to lots of errors and upset customers. The market is primed for a competitor to steal business.
