  1. Submitted covers for your consideration and enjoyment. I can post more of a particular book if anyone requests.
  2. hey folks. I just got the grade back on this today. 5.0 !!!! I did have this book pressed.
  3. Finally got the grade back on this. I didnt realize that I was missing a centerfold. 3.5 Thanks everyone!
  4. Hello there. I submitted 2 books for express service and its been over a month and i'm still sitting at the status of "received" I had submitted 2 other books and they have already been received, graded, and sent back. These were non-express serviced books. All 4 books were received by CGC on 7/6/2020, tomorrow makes 1 month since received. I was hoping someone could check on the status for me? The order and submission numbers are attached below. Thank you! CGC0864395270 2141680
  5. I specifically requested and paid for imaging of all 4 books that I sent in. That's why i'm following up with the question about wondering where it is and why I don't see it?
  6. Hey there. This might be a silly question since i'm a newbie here. Part of my order included imaging of the book i sent in. Currently my order status is Finalized / Imaged / Shipped I can see my grade, my graders notes, but I dont see any place to see the images for said book. Am I looking in the wrong spot or where would I normally find that? The certification number is 2141681001 and 2141681002 Thanks for any/all help!
  7. I ran into that problem when I was trying to use the shipping kit I bought from CGC.. I ended up using ziplock bags... felt wrong, but it was better than trying to force them into a sleeve that was definitely not meant for that size.
  8. Do the UV protected frames cover the slabbed books that have been graded? I haven't seen anything like that before.
  9. I'm sending everything off monday or tuesday of this week. I'll come back with a pic of the slabbed comics when done.
  10. Thank you a ton for the website to compare quick figures for insurance info.
  11. The funny thing is that I've read digital copies in the past. But the smell is probably my favorite part. I've always loved the smell of old books, even when I was a kid in the library.
  12. I have a raw batman #6 id love some educated guesses on.
  13. I don't believe that it's ever been trimmed. At least not from anything that I can see.. There is some cupping to the book though. So if you were to lay it down on a table it has a mild U shape where the left and right come off of the table and come up creating a cup shape. Any other pics I should include when I get back home to it tonight? I'm definitely going to add a picture of the back, but should i include any pages from inside to show some examples of those pages as well?
  14. Thanks for the help. Just edited and made it one book specific
  15. Thanks for the heads up. Should i remove the post or can we just move forward like i'm just talking about #5 then?
  16. Hey everyone. I have a Batman No. 5 that I'm sending in for grading. I'd like to get an idea of what to declare as the value while sending it in and for insuring during shipment. Any guesses on grading here? I'll add some other photos tonight. Also.. do you think pressing would be worth the investment?
  17. My thinking behind grading them is to 1) get an idea of what they're worth.. I'm an untrained eye so i just honestly have no idea what condition they're in relative to others. 2) i'd like to display them and i dont want people picking them up unless they're crazy protected.. So for conservation of condition.
  18. Last one. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on these.
  19. hey everyone. I recently inherited 4 books and just figured I would share the joy and post some pics. I'll be sending them off for grading once I can figure out which service I need for each and a possible value to declare while sending in
  20. Hey there everyone. I recently inherited a few golden age comics and am wanting to send them to CGC for grading / sealing so I can continue to enjoy them and hopefully pass them on to my child when the time is right. I ordered a small packaging setup from them rated for 1-10 books and I just joined at the $150 membership tier. 1. What exact service do I need to order to have a comic this old Graded and sealed.(Batman 5 and 6 and a couple of others) 1. I saw something on their services about pressing. Is this something I should opt for as well? 2. What cost am I looking at paying per book for grading? The website keeps mentioning values of under a certain amount to choose from. I have no idea how much they're worth so I'm not sure what service to pay for? I'm a total newbie when it comes to comic grading so anyone with some insight, advice, or personal experience is super welcome to chime in! For anyone who wants to see the books I'm wanting to send in Here is a link to some pictures I posted. https://imgur.com/a/WzA5xEq
