Raw or slabbed, picture for reference
SORRY I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG PLACE, I'M BUYING NOT SELLING

Wait, why is everyone quoting the $50 per book shipping price? Isn't it $95 for 6-10 books?

I didn't answer the question because @ADAMANTIUM had answered it in the post ahead. I did go off on a tangent about pickiness in general, a result of recent frustrations, but shouldn't have. In taking your advice, I found scrolling with my thumb to be awkward, but I am only using a typical mouse with center wheel.
I was too harsh in trying to be a bigger a-hole, so apologies on my end.

SCS is my main consideration when it comes to red labels. Doesn’t matter if the book is unpressed & tightly graded if the book suffered damage post-slabbing.
What's SCS?

CGC graded the book, encapsulated it, put a hard shell around it to further protect it. It's not wall art. Just like an armored troop carrier is not the prettiest of vehicles, but better to be in one than standing next to it.
I am so tired of OCD collectors complaining about a 1/2" Newton ring, a small scuff on the case, a tiny particle of plastic stuck between the shell and the inner capsule, etc. Hey, how's that comic? Safe and in great shape? Then shut up.
Nobody asked for your opinion on the collector. I asked a question about the book and case, you didn't even answer that. You don't even have to use your legs, you can use your thumb to scroll the f off.

There seems to be some sticker membrane holding the book in place, was that a practice from many years ago (graded in 2006).
And are the sides of these cases supposed to be REALLY open, like easy to slide a piece of paper into the case? overall this case is pretty open on one side and the case is warped. A bit bummed tbh...

Yes, more likely not pressed. And talk around the water cooler is that grading was tighter in general during the tenure of the old label. The plan is to CPR the old label books, get a grade bump, make a few bucks. Turn your 9.0 into a 9.4 or 9.6. In light of this, old label books are commanding higher prices as the supply of them diminishes.
I've read as much - but I assumed that was referring to the SUPER old OG labels. The 2003 - 2016 seem like they'd be in line with the latest ones, but was curious if the differences were an impediment of any kind.
Appreciate the thoughts!

I'm referring to the latest two labels from this image which are very similiar outside of some subtle differences (page color moved to within the grade box, alignment of book info).

Thanks, everyone! The plan is to get this pressed and submit it. Will update once I get that done (cleaning guy is backed up quite a bit). Not planning on selling it, just want a slab for display more than anything - and I'm curious how the pressing will change things.

Sweet! I imagine you got it pressed and cleaned before hand?

Cool, thanks for your take on this! It felt like it would be the right type of damage to try to press out, just wanted to get someone's opinion on it. It is a 2nd printing so I'm not even sure I'll go for it, as I'd rather get ahold of a 1st print. But still, something to stash if they ever do make that Carnage movie!

Yeesh, I've never slabbed a book before and am just getting back into collecting. Newton rings look horrendous!
