  1. I'm enjoying watching Sabine Rich's growth, both as a colorist and as an artist in her own right. Her fan base must be growing because her published cover work has always sold when I make an inquiry.
  2. Rossi is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists. Congratulations on your pick-up.
  3. Ah, sadness. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bill-Watterson-original-drawing-signed-Calvin-and-Hobbes-Estate-Find-/111932055317?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=dPA290hUZngfVX2gw6FEVYd30qs%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Auction ended at $2550 for an original "Watterson".
  4. One reason why I've never use the "gift" option. I've had artists ask me to use it -- a comic store did, too, when I purchased a great OA cover -- and I've always been uneasy about it. Some artists are slow to meet their obligation. Don't give up hope. If worse comes to worse, there's always the public option: share the artist's name with your fellow collectors and spare us from making the same mistake.
  5. My wife works in the medical field. She says some pharmacists do have patients, especially if they work in one of the specialties (heavy duty chemo meds, special blood-thinning agents, and so on). I'm not certain what all is involved beyond blood studies and the adjustment of meds, but she tells me even the patients refer to themselves as the pharmacist's patient. I'm pleased that CAF exists, and glad that Bill is celebrated for it. I'm appreciative that Ankur brought a bad apple into the light, even if his motives weren't entirely altruistic. The rest of it seems like so much noise.
  6. For those interested, Aaron explains why he chose to draw this particular cover on his website ( here).
  7. As a collector, I'll pass on a personalized piece in almost all circumstances, especially if the note is in the body of the art. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I know of a few others who agree with me. A personalized note to someone of significance might make a difference. You know: "To Stan from Jack. Love ya, buddy!" would be fun.
  8. Pokerkid, loved your story and enjoyed seeing what you purchased. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Loved reading about this on your CAF site. The prelim stuff really added to your tale. Thanks for sharing.
  10. WOW WOW WOW! Congrats on this! Malvin What Malvin said. That's terrific!
  11. Koa, I thought I was the only Trencher fan out there. A piece pops up now and then (there are 14 Market Data Results on CAF) and a very few pieces on CAF itself. Good luck!
  12. Sean, congrats on the two Romero strips. I like them both but your AXA is really fun. That strip has always hit the GGA spot in my heart.
  13. Love the Romero. His good girl art is a joy, isn't it? Congratulations!
  14. I'm sorry, I can't risk it. Congratulations on some very fun pieces.
  15. I think I understand what KingKoa means, and I can see why he means it in such a way. I like Joe's art and have a pair of pieces; it would be tough to go into an auction and bid against him for the same artwork (especially because he has much, much more money than I do). But this post has been totally derailed and I'd hate to see it lost over this argument. I enjoy the original purpose of the post: "Does Anyone Know Where This Art Is?" Can we go back to it?
  16. I really like Eaglesham's work and I'm surprised he doesn't get more attention. Terrific pickup.
