  1. Im an MTG collector and i've been fully on the beckett bandwagon for a while. When i saw CGC grading MTG and pokemon I was excited. i saw the cases and got less excited but if i can deal with PSA cases sometimes i could deal with these. my issue is that from the little teasers in the graded MTG facebook group, the cards look very loosely graded and on top of that they arent even really competing in price other than for high end cards. no subgrades costs basically the same amount as PSA and BGS without subs so i dont see why you would pay the same price at CGC when these already established services offer the same thing (i suppose the only difference is turn around time) and with subgrades at 13 dollars a card i dont see why anyone should use this over BGS, sure its slightly cheaper per card but you lose the premium people are willing to pay for high graded BGS cards. overall i dont see where this service fits in at all. when i first saw the prices i thought it was 8 dollars and subgrades were always included. at that price im on board 100% i think that would be a great reason for me to almost fully switch from BGS. Especially considering the membership packages also come with a discount built in. at 8 dollars a card i really couldnt argue against CGC seeing as how its basically 2 cards for every 1 beckett card. but as it stands now im not seeing where this fits in with the other major companies. I dont think its cost effective, and from what i've seen of cards being graded so far (sample cards) I dont think they will command a premium over PSA/BGS
