The inner well or holder appears to be severely damaged at the very same corner as the book.  hm  Yes?  No?  (shrug)

I am getting my final Bulk submission ready to mail out tomorrow, and I am prepared to not get it back this year.

The writing is on the wall: CGC's natural exponential growth + the mass exodus from PSA + slabbing any card at $9/card is guaranteed profit + stimulus checks + booming card market = you are going to WISH Bulk was still only 4 months here very shortly.

Or you can just keep complaining on here and we can all come back in a month and laugh.

Hahaha lol very true.. wish it wasn't but you are so right...

It’s was 35 days for 1000 other people who submitted in December too lol.

TAT is an estimate of how fast they can process the cards they have in shop at that specific point in time. It was never any sort of guarantee. They even say it’s estimated not guaranteed. I feel like people keep miss missing this point.

Ya I know there are so many people waiting. It just sucks.. but still better than PSA

  4. These turnaround times are crazy. I am still waiting on a bulk ordered that was received on DEC 9th! When I submitted it was a 35 Business day turn around. Times keep increasing.  While I understand things happen  I have been told countless times.. either my cards are being graded and the status just hasn't changed mon my end, they are scheduled for grading, or oh your turnaround time hasn't been affected.  Give us correct information/communication. Maybe they need to stop accepting trading cards until they can catch up.

I'd kill to have a Spawn #1, Kingdom Come #4, or Dark Knight Returns #1 in Gem Mint.

If you ever want one just to have one, Batman: Damned goes for < $500 these days.

I have 3 spawn #1 9.8 9.6 and 9.4 CGC. Haven't gotten around to selling the 9.6 and 9.4 as of yet. Kingdom come #4 would be amazing!

Are you expecting any Mints or Gem Mints? If you are, then I would suggest lowering your expectations. Then, one day, if you get one, you'll be joyous rather than, "finally". 9.8 is really the best that you can reasonably ask for.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread; Gem Mint notates literal perfection. It's the rarest condition you can find. With manufacturing and handling they are inherently difficult to produce and find.

In a scale that lacks any other 0.1-point difference in evaluation, I find no comfort in the 9.9 grade. You will likely be completely unable to differentiate its condition from a 9.8. IMO 9.9 shouldn't exist on CGC's scale.

I really don't expect it but it would be nice some day. lol yes I know it is means it is perfect in every way. Wish I could get one some day. :)

I don't see why you would be "peeved"? If they are accurately assessing the condition of your collectibles, then you are getting what you're paying for.

True... but what really separate's a 9.8 from a 9.9 or a 10.... not very much... sooo the chances of sending in the amount I have sent it and not receive a 10 is a bit discouraging at times.

As a potential buyer on Ebay you have every right to retract your bid as long as it is before 12 hour ending time.  Ebay just asks you to state a reason.  Clearly this book is not slightly restored as there is a major trim job.  That is enough justification.   No need to sit through and take lumps.  This is a large purchase and you should be satisfied with it.  Just my 2 cents

Thank you everyone for all the information. As someone who is knew to collecting... It helps alot. I alost knew this book was to good to be true. Like if it was so good why didn't the owner of it get it graded?

Yup. The book has a slight miswrap (evidenced by the cover stating to appear at the bottom on the back cover), a bad cut which may or may not be production related, disclosed trimming and colour touch. And if someone has gone to the trouble of trimming and colour touching, what else has been done we should ask ourselves? Has it been bleached, full blown restoration etc etc.

To conclude, and as they said in that film once: "Leave. The book. Alone"

I think they said kid though, not book. In the film I mean :)

lol well I am in too deep... :( Maybe if someone comes along and bids higher...

It does look nice. A few raw  copies described as VFN/NM have sold on eBay for around $4K so with restoration usually at least halving the price you can see where the $2K has come from. Trimming is fairly loathed in the industry however so your resale opportunities - raw or graded - would be severely impacted if you were looking to make money or sell in the future. Don't let the apparent eye appeal take you in - restored books are only for those who want to own a copy with no thought for resale and who don't care either way as long as it looks nice - they just want a copy for their collection and restored ones are that much cheaper.

It has a dodgy cut though. Personally, I wouldn't go near it at that price.

Wow Thanks for the info... I may be in too deep at $2100.00 Wow you can tell the cut from just looking at it?
