Not fair? I think CGC is the best in the market when it comes to grading their cards. i don't blame CGC for Beckett and PSA allowing cards that clearly aren't 10's to be graded as 10's. PSA 10's are DRASTICALLY overpriced online.

My hope is that the longer that CGC is on the market and their turnaround times continue to be much better than Beckett and PSA, that they will gain a bigger hold in the market and hopefully someday become the top dog in the trading card community. Might take several years, but that's what I am hoping for. You know that if you get a Pristine 10 or a perfect 10, that you have one of the BEST of that card on the market.

I hear where you are coming from. Ya I have to agree with you on that one. Their turn around times are pretty quick compared to the others. I looked at psa and they literally can take 5 months or longer. A bird in the hand

Here are the grades that I got on my most recent order from CGC. I haven't sent cards to Beckett before, but I have to PSA before and I gotta say that attention to detail that CGC takes in grading their cards really makes me hopeful for the day that CGC becomes the norm in the trading card community.

I love how strict they are. I have gotten PSA10's from PSA that I know wouldn't have a chance at getting a Pristine 10 from CGC. I think all of the cards that I've sent to PSA, I am going to send to CGC and get them re-graded. Probably will do a pre-ship video with my PSA cards and then do another video comparing the grades between PSA and CGC when I get them back.

I've only sent in two orders to CGC, but will most definitely be using them in all my future submissions. Have had a great experience so far!

I just feel like CGC is so strict/not fair when it comes to giving a 10. What are your thoughts?

you quoted Jimmy...He's my partner but he doesn't want much to do with Pokemon.

I traded some cgc slabbed comics.  None of those are first editions :sorry: do you have some coming back?  I'm working on putting together my childhood stuff (Base, Jungle & Fossil) but I'm now starting to go after more and more WOTC.  I want to buy some sealed boxes as well.  I'm like a kid in a candy store and I've got dad's wallet  @Guardian Comics

These list  the ones I am shipping out tomorrow. Most of these are 1st edition. I am putting soo much faith in them for my first card orders. I also sent in about 80 comics. lol

I agree. CGC has just started grading csrds a couple of months ago. There are going to be some growing pains early on. PSA, Beckett and SGC still have the occasional quality quality control problems and they have been in business for a long time.

I literally have contacted them like 6x about the error on my card and they keep saying it is still being graded... they will update it if they deem it an error.

Then it's impossible to know if CGC would have also done 6.0 if sent to them instead. You win some you lose some, I wouldn't blame either company for doing their job as professional graders.

Saying "CBCS came back 1 grade lower" is not a fair statement as you did not simply send a CGC comic to be regraded by CBCS. This is more along the lines of a comic doing down a grade after it was regraded after a signing, and more handling, which is very common. For all we know, the same result would have happened at CGC.

True.. I think I am going to send it to CGC to be regraded again. The book is in tooo nice of shape to be a 6.0... I am not sure what's better... opening it up and send it that way so they don't have anything to go off of? or Getting it regraded from the CBCS Slab?
