  1. My friends and I started a weekly art competition on Instagram. Each week one of us picks a topic and we have to finish our submissions by midnight each Tuesday. This week is our 2nd outing, topic is Alice in Wonderland, I finished mine early and figured I'd share it with you all here.
  2. Super impressive. Would've thought these were pictures if you hadn't said they were paintings. A+ work.
  3. Tried my hand at doing just black and white for the 1st time. Turned out alright. My Instagram is @mattbrosch, if anyone is interested in seeing the other art I don't post here.
  4. Love the style, great color choices. Gives off a kinda Dali meets modern comics vibe.
  5. Some Pickle Rick goodness I did last week. Poor lighting when I took the pic, but you get the idea.
  6. I think we have a winner! Thank you kind sir. I was comparing sigs this morning and McDermitt's looks closest. Appreciate the responses everyone!
  7. Hey guys, got a mystery box for xmas which included a signed Walking Dead Weekly #1 with 3 signatures on it. Problem is the book is labeled as "Signed by Kirkman", along with a COA for Kirkman, but no COAs or indications on who the other 2 are. I beleive one is Steve Yuen (Glenn), but no idea on the other. Any guess as to who the 3rd sig belongs to? Am I right about Steve Yuen?
  8. Decided to do something (slightly) different. Stabbity Bunny as Blade, menacing a poor vampire fox who totally wasn't up to anything nefarious.
  9. Thanks man! I'm trying over here lol. Still using alot of reference work though, having a hard time doing original stuff that turns out well. Appreciate the sig feedback, the only art I used to do was graffiti style lettering so thats what I'm most comfortable with. My real life/ paperwork sig is atrocious though lol. I do like Clayton Crain's "murder" sig, and I think Ryan Stegman's is really creative, but I see tons of trash ones too. Donny Cates and (blasphemy, I know) Todd McFarlane come to mind. They are great examples of laziness and "big but ugly", respectively.
  10. Not my best work but I thought some fellow Venom fans might find this one interesting. Had the idea to do a plush Venom creating other plush symbiotes. May try another version of this at some point if I can figure out how to make the plushies look better.
  11. The sketch is good quality, but I honestly hate it when artists use black on a dark cover. Its like, ill totally buy you a white or silver sharpie my guy...
  12. These just came today and and I couldn't be happier. One, because I've wanted a Peach remark forever, and two because I got them for around $100 each, which is just insane. Black Friday was very good to me this year!
  13. Paint pen adventures 11, Gwenom, for my fellow comic enthusiasts.
  14. Paint pen adventures no. 10, Ann from Persona 5, for my fellow gaming enthusiasts.
  15. Yeah I'd like to do a couple random classes, just to play around with other mediums, sculpture, airbrush etc. that I don't have the materials/ equipment to do.
  16. Adventures in learning how to use paint pens no 9 (I think), Miles Venomrales
  17. Yeah I'll pass on all that craziness, just think it would be fun to see how they operate, if I ever got my hands on one.
  18. That's crazy, sorry for your loss. You did a great job with the painting though, the lighting is especially good.
  19. Yeah that's why I'm really reticent to just buy one. They're not cheap and its alot of setup/ work to get started. I'd love to just play around with one first to see if I even like it. I don't know anybody that owns one though.
  20. Couple small recent pieces. A quick dragon bust for a student, and my fiance asked for a funko pop style Prowler.
  21. Yeah it was very realistic, would love to play around with an airbrush at some point.
  22. I've been thinking about getting a tablet to do digital art, that way I can make adjusts like placement really easily. I just don't know if spending $300-$400 on one is worthwhile or if I should just stick to the paint pens for now.
  23. Decided to keep the color pallette limited, started doing the pink and it juxtaposed just a bit too much.
  24. I could definitely use your opinion on this one though. I was gonna do purple clouds below him, with a pink background behind and white lightning, but I'm not sure. Thoughts?
