  1. At home, with me, for two weeks now. I don't open my boxes straight away. Actually, I don't open my boxes at all, my daughter does. She caught it. It threw her for a loop. I get a few boxes at a time, 3-4.
  2. I'm got back a box that is still showing up in G/E/I in the software, and I have other boxes that have been in G/E/I for two weeks. Then there were some boxes that came out of scheduled for grading and went all the way through in a day. All May submissions. There really is no cadence. I can't complain though, my last submission came back in 20 days and the grades were at 90% of what I expected, and my last 4 pre-screen submissions only had two rejections total, so it seems to be back on track somewhat in the modern tier to pre-pandemic levels in fast track/pre-screen.
  3. I am having the same issue. I have never received as many wide gaps in what I graded a book should receive compared to what my books got, or the amount of graders notes I am getting now. I have 90 books wrapping up today and had 50 books shipped last week. The 50 books were almost a total loss based on their grades, and I am sweating these books now. The biggest disappointment was a Secret Wars #8 that I am certain was a 9.8 that got a 9.6. I bet I am going to have to crack dozens of slabs. Extremely expensive, time consuming and potentially dangerous to the books. I am on a Facebook group that someone showed a group of modern books with gnarly spine stress that he swears was not present, and it's hard not to think there is not something to that due to how profound the defects were on such high-grade books. I am considering sending books of a specific value to a different tier now to get them away from this group of graders.
  4. Very nice greggy. I like that Robin #1 second print. You may single-handedly crash the Toxic Avenger market with these!
  5. a 24-hour press is ideal. If I do a 12-hour press I like to cold press for 2-3 days. I seldom do a 4-hour press, mostly because I have seen books continue to improve beyond that amount of time under the pressure of the press by checking their progress. I would expect my press job to keep for the long haul, but I know that is not the case with some of these 6-9 month submissions that are getting quick presses. I agree about the humidity application as well.
  6. Plus I can't wait 9 months for my books.
