Thanks. I'm almost tempted to just sell my books and buy a 9.8. Lol I don't know if it makes a difference but the pics need to be at a super specific angle to pick up the lines. It's a lot less noticeable in person.

I don't know why I'm so obsessed with getting a good copy of this book. There's 2 weird lines on the back I think I got a good shot of in the last 2 pics. They're not creases, almost like the foil kind of folded weird when they pressed it? Thanks in advance for any help!

I think manufacturing defect is kind of what they were saying when they said all of their books had it so maybe it's not super bad, just looks bad. I got my 25% back, so I'm happy. Probably won't grade it though.

They said all of the copies had some of this in one way or another but they'd give me 25% off. Sound fair?

I imagine yours didn't have this crazy stuff all along the spine. That's pretty awesome all 4 of them hut 9.8 though!

Kind of what I thought. It's a let-down but I don't know what I was expecting ordering a raw book sight unseen, really. I figured the shop was pretty reputable. Thanks for the reply.

just got this from eBay and noticed there's a bend on the back that I made sure to snap a couple of pics of. The rest of the book seems in great condition. Not sure if this is something that can be pressed out?

Sorry I don't have pics of the back cover but my brothers and I bought this book when we were kids and it first came out on shelves, so it has a lot of sentimental value. The book was heat sealed in the bag by the comic shop owners and I don't want to take it out unless I really need to. I see there are some spine ticks and stuff along the side. It's been in the bag and board for 28 years and I'm wondering what it might grade at.

Just got this in the mail from The Comic Mint and noticed the spine has a bunch of color missing. Is this even worth grading or is it a normal defect?
