  1. That’s what I suspect will happen as they have no way of telling what service was selected otherwise 😥
  2. Ah excellent news! They’ve just received my submission and I remembered to put EX on the front, so I’m glad to hear that - thanks!
  3. Just wondering despite the delays and backlogs etc, are CGC prioritising Express packages and walkthrough? I know they’ve just started opening packages from end of April, but if you send in something for Express grading and the box has been marked to state that, would it be opened and graded within the 11 working day turnaround?
  4. Just wondering how I can find out how much is left from my $150 credit - can’t find anything about it in my account and plan on sending another submission and want to plan ahead.
  5. ...it’s on the bloody back 🤦🏼‍♂️ How do I delete this topic, so no one can read my shame?
  6. Wait, so due to choosing a character label that info gets left off?! Surely they could fit it on in slightly smaller text
  7. So following on from one of my previous topics, I got my Hulk 181 back and it was given a 0.5 (which I’ve made my peace with and understand the reasons), what I don’t get is that the creators and artists have no mention, neither does it state that this is the first appearance of Wolverine yet others do. Why is that? Doesn’t CGC usually state the issues in the middle, with info on the left and right?
  8. Hell, you guys can have a screenshot if that saves others from going through the same ordeal! I gave neutral feedback due to getting a refund, wish it was negative as he had the cheek to ask me to remove it. I replied with “remember how you said the cut pages wouldn’t affect the grade. Well CGC didn’t agree and gave it a 0.5” Haven’t heard from dabrakus411 since...
  9. thought as much, yeah it was a pretty good price when I only thought the MVS was missing and then became a bargain once I kicked off about the other bits. Overall it was about £600
  10. In your opinions, the comic isn’t in terrible overall condition (apart from the bits that have been cut), is the low grade likely due to the cut out parts? Reason I ask is that this was purchased from some dirt bag on eBay that “forgot” to mention these extra cut pages and claimed it wouldn’t affect the grade. I got a partial refund for him lying to me, but wasn’t sure what damage this would have on the grading.
  11. Ah cool, well I’m glad to have the blue label. Sucks about the grade, but I’m never going to read or sell it so no biggie 😊
  12. Just had the results of my first submission and to be honest, it’s nothing to brag about. They gave my Hulk 181 a 0.5 which I understand the reasons behind as it’s missing the value stamp and there’s one other page that’s been cut which affects the story - doesn’t bother me, I’m a huge Wolverine fan and always wanted this comic. The part that’s confusing me is that they gave it a universal grade...shouldn’t this automatically fall into the “qualified” section due to not being complete?? (below is the comic before grading)
  13. Do CGC grade comics on weekends? I thought their opening hours were Monday - Friday, but the status of my comic was updated yesterday (Saturday) to “Grading/Quality Control”.
  14. Just looking through some auctions on eBay and was wondering why 0.8 makes so much difference to the price? When I’m looking for a comic that I love I’d happily make a big saving and buy a 9.0 because I personally think that’s a respectable grade! Hell, I bought an 8.0 the other day because it was signed by Frank Miller.
  15. So, I got a response to this from CGC...not sure if that’s answered my question 🤔
  16. Thanks for getting back to me, so is there no way of posting to the UK office without signing up to NGC?
  17. Hi, I’ve recently sent a comic to your head office for grading and prior to this I saw an option to submit via your UK branch. I wanted to post there but kept getting told I can only drop it off or had to sign up to NGC to unlock the postal option - I’ve only just paid for a CGC membership and don’t really want to pay more just to post to the UK branch. Is this the only way around it?
  18. This is what’s confusing - I just now tried submitting to the UK office and it greys out the postal option saying “you can only mail into headquarters” aka Florida. Looking at the NGC page, there’s nothing about signing up with them for comic grading or even posting to them, just coins...probably easier to figure out the Da Vinci code.
  19. Yeah I declared full value and insured. I looked into the UK office - it goes through NGC but you have to sign up to their membership program to be able to post there...don’t fancy that after just buying a CGC membership.
  20. Ah, I see. Is that regardless of value? We get destroyed in customs fees when the value is like £1,000 or so.
  21. I’m in the UK and just shipped my first comic, I declared the full value but marked it as gift (potentially incorrectly), but I’m a little concerned that CGC will get customs fees and make me pay for it. Has that happened to anyone before and do most of you mark as gift also?
  22. Hopefully that won’t become a thing! I can’t imagine they’ll force people to use their own branded boxes...if they do, I’m buying a CGC stamp and making my own 😄
