Interesting. I'm also not sure how you got an 8.5 considering that there are two 8 subgrades there. 

I have seen less OC copies get the qualifier. So, why didn't mine? Just curious.

Yes it is an error.

I don’t understand how CGC can so poorly run they are sending people emails stating their comic submission has been upgraded if a submission was for cards only. 
 

Challenge them and tell them you didn’t submit comics as the email states.

- I never asked to have my submission upgraded.

- The cards are definitely not worth more than $100 raw, it's just hidden fates SV.
