  1. Woah!! That is Frazetta? Is it an original? Huge size! Feel like elaborating on the story behind this one?
  2. I don't understand why money has to be a dirty topic. Can't it just be part of the broader discussion surrounding comics. Money has always been a part of the hobby; they've never (for the most part) been free...
  3. Geeze I'd take that over a lower grade universal label any day of the week. My collecting goal is to grab more GA classic covers. Top of the hit list are Web of Evil 5, Voodoo 8, War Comics 11, Teenage Dope Slaves (Harvey Comics Library 1), CSS 20, and Blue Bolt 114. I also wouldn't mind another copy of Ghostly Weird 122.
  4. Wiki says 1st is Moon Girl and the Prince #1
  5. Quite a few books with this theme, Punch Comics #9, Mister Mystery 4. Who has copies or can think of any other books with this theme?
  6. Really? The Hidden Valley conserved 8.0 only hit 461k.
  7. Anyone following this book (conserved 7.0)? Looks to be a poor venue to sell a mega key. https://profilesinhistory.com/auctions/superman-the-auction/
  8. I'm not sure what is more parasitic: (1) facilitating security of transaction between strangers and asking for a small percentage, or (2) posting on a community message board, asking full GPA firm for an ungraded book without following the community selling rules, providing references or contributing to the community first.
  9. My thoughts exactly. Those are the books of a GA connoisseur!
  10. Outside of My Romantic Adventures #50 I can't think of any ACG books that receives a classic cover designation from Overstreet or CGC. So, I thought I'd ask boardies for a helping hand. Can you think of any?
  11. Holy cow! That CSS 22 look minty. I imagine some sweet trade bait was needed to procure that!!!
  12. Largish chip out of the Fc, largeish spine split and widespread staining I'd be at 3.0. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but being 1953 this book is the wrong era for dist spray.
  13. +1 that is sick. I maybe even prefer the colouring and typography on the Mexican edition. Very cool.
  14. Looks like Reed Crandal to me. Very under appreciated artist imo.
  15. Yeah I was just surprised because the staples looked like they had turned to dust.
  16. Some strong PCH prices: Ghostly Weird 122 in what to me looked like a generously graded cgc 4.5 $1001 Eerie 1 cgc 1.8 $1200
  17. +1. Particularly on that Rangers Comics 26. Beautiful colour strike and white pages!!! Probably one of the nicest copies extant.
  18. Thanks. The horrific is a keeper for sure. It presents very well for a 5.0 too.
  19. What is up with the Color strike on that book? It looks off to me.
