  1. I've just started collecting Sonic the Hedgehog because it presents the affordable challenge of hunting down the back issues (about 209 issues), so next I need to ask Gemma to add to the Sonic mini series thats already in the registry.

So here is my first Sonic Slab bought from Evil-Bay

  2. Just pre-ordered one of these. Couldn't resist after seeing it - Not sure how many of you guys have seen these yet?

Proof that Tony Stark has a heart! Perhaps the most iconic prop from the smash-hit movie Iron Man, no expense was spared in replicating the details exactly. From the machined metal parts and copper wire to the high-intensity LEDs, you'll own the definitive prop from this storied franchise and Marvel hero. Based directly on the actual movie prop and with reference from Stan Winston Studios, the Arc Unit measures about 4 1/2-inches in diameter and is made from machined aluminum, stainless steel, and custom-molded plastic. It's removable from the stand and includes a Plexiglas display case and full-color certificate of authenticity. Bring home Tony's "heart," as given to him by his thoughtful assistant Pepper Potts! Requires 4x "AA" batteries (not included) with a cool-burn time of approximately 8 to 10 hours.

That's something You don't see everyday, pretty cool Lloyd.

  3. I hate to do this, but I find this kind of behavior very unacceptable, especially from a "well known seller". I only know about this since my dad called me about it very upset, and if it's one thing I can not tolerate, is my dad being upset. For those of you who don't know, my dad and I collect comics together. Some of you guys know him because my dad has bought off of here. I love my dad with all of my heart, and to see anyone treat him that was really tears me up on the inside.

My dad bought some ASM's from this guy in the past, I'd say the last time he got any was March? This exchange happened yesterday, and today:

    "mark,

hey! ok the spideys are in......let me know thw #'s again of the following as i remember i had most of them graded for you.......give me the #'s needed and i'll give you grade and price...they graded really high!!

    Regards,

    Nuff Said Collectibles"

    "Randy,

I am not currently buying any more Amazing Spiderman's, as I am concentrating my efforts in another direction. Thanks for thinking of me.

    Mark"

"WHAT! YOU TOLD ME YOU WANTED THESE...SO I SENT THEM TO CGC TO BE GRADED FOR YOU! I HAD NO INTENTION ON DOING SO UNLESS YOU NEEDED THEM...YOU NEED TO STICK TO YOUR PROMISE....AS IS SPENT ALOT OF MONEY GRADING THEM ....FOR YOU!" You want my opinion? That was stupid. You should have contacted my dad before hand to see if he was even still collecting ASM's.

"I never commit to this type of thing without knowing what cost will be involved !You need to get better organized in your business and stop blaming others for your shortcomings. It is not right to try to intimidate me this way.You need to grow up.Do not bother me again!"

"you have some nerve!! i have only been nice to you. i have given you great books at great prices...and even held things for a period of time to allow you to pay at your convience. i have the email somewhere where you told me the books you wanted and were quite aware of the fact that i was sending them to cgc for YOU! don't worry,,not only will i never "botther" you again, but i will now send this entire story to all others that i know you have done business with. all i can say is you should be ashamed of yourself." No buddy, you haven't. I told my dad months ago to be careful around you.

"I do not have any idea what you are talking about. You have always charged me top dollar for the books you sold me.You have gotten a lot of money from me.You have always rushed me into paying more quickly than I wanted to and overpay for shipping with smaller orders. You have sent me books with old labels without telling me in advance, that I had to resubmit for reholder at more expense. You have not always been nice to me.This is a prime example.I never comitted to any books with you to send in to CGC WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT I WOULD PAY FOR THEM .To do so otherwise would not be economically feasible.Whatever email you fabricate is just that.

I still wish you best future success ."

"F**K OFF individual_without_enough_empathy..........YOU HAVE NOW BEEN BLOCKED FORM MY RECIEVEING ANY OF YOUR STUPID EMAILS....AND FROM EBAY AS WELL........"

That was his last reply. My dad called me pretty shaken up, and I can see why. You sir, should be ashamed of yourself! I would never, NEVER treat anyone that way, especially a customer! I feel bad for posting this, but I feel as though you guys should know.

So f#*&ing unprofessional of them :screwy:

  4. A couple of weeks ago I purchased My first double cover, well today I bought My first triple cover, and I can't wait to have it graded :headbang:

    Where did you find that?

An acquaintance of mine, whom received his usual shipment from diamond, and when one of his customers picked it off the shelf, and bought the comic, latter returns, and says that "this comic has a defect, I want to exchange it for a another one" :screwy: immediately the seller takes it back, and stores it away, fully aware of it's importance, luckily for me sellers are always going to do that one thing, and thats SELL, so about three weeks ago over lunch I first hear the story of this supposed triple cover, and I don't think to much about it, but at the end of the evening just before we part ways I blurt out that if He ever thinks about selling it, to please call Me first before he talks to anybody else about it, and that I would pay handsomely, and so the other night, same scenario, as Im getting ready to leave the restaurant he follows, and says (pulls out the book from his car) "here how much do You think it's worth"? I immediately think OH... HELL... YEAH?... and smile all the way home. end.

  5.

    :golfclap:

Nice finds! I've never seen that Transformers playing card cover. Someone on the board collects any covers with playing cards if you ever need to move it.

That someone would be PokerKid. :)

Oh, I know it. He helped me out with a poster I have wanted, so been keeping an eye out for books fitting his playing card focus. That Transformers definitely fits his cover collecting. Sweet!

Wow thanks guys, your to nice, and like wise cause I've seen the sweet stuff You've all posted in the past to, keep them coming, and I will to

  6. Wasn't planing on going to my LCS yesterday in Davie, FL but I'm glade I ended up going on a whim, found out that they were having a $1 per comic blow out sale , and low and behold found an almost unbroken run of caps 1-21, minus #15. after getting home and taking a ganders at them they seem to be in the 9.6-9.8 range :headbang:
