    This copy actually has 14 pages. One of the outer wraps is in there twice. My second copy has 12 pages. I know when these were made, they printed individual plates on heavier paper stock and card sized prints as well. These pop up from time to time on eBay, usually from pickers or vintage hunters. This copy in this thread was actually found inside of an antique book from a book collection I bought at an estate sale.

    Beautiful copy with some staining on the back cover. I know staining hits books hard but what does everyone feel this will get. I’m still torn on grading it, but if I do I will update. Thanks in advance!

    There’s no issues with that edge. A lot of copies have this. You’ve got a really nice copy, though. I’ll say 9.2.

    Sold this book last year and regretted it. Started looking for another copy recently and got this for a steal with how prices have been lately. Glad to have it back.

    Well, the grade is in, she’s been graded and being shipped back to me right now so I don’t have the book for a picture yet. But it came back... 9.4! (I want to note that I repressed the book two more times to get out some tricky spine stress and bends. Also want to note this was sent to CBCS, 2-day modern grading, as I wanted it graded quickly and it’s for my PC)

    I’m hopeful that it’s high after a clean/press. Buddy talked me into sending it CGC for the Claremont/Rubenstein signing.

    There are definitely some pressable defects. I don’t really see any uncorrectable issues. what might this fetch in grading? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for all of the opinions. She’s being shipped off in the morning for a press and clean, and from there straight to get graded. I’ve paid to have everything rushed so I’m hoping it will be sooner rather than later. I’ll update as soon as it comes back.

    Sorry, come out ahead in regard to price paid for the lot of comics I bought. If it comes back 9.2 or better I’m golden.

    It will be getting cleaned and pressed. Can I get an estimate on its current grade and how you think a clean/press would affect it? I’m hoping I come out ahead on this one. Thanks so much!

    She’s really rough and I usually have issues pinpointing lower items. Whatever the grade may be, I can’t complain as I found this for $10 at a garage sale.

    It’s definitely possible if it’s pressed before putting in a humidity chamber. It really matters on how long it was left with that bad bend. I don’t see a press getting it 100% clean, honestly. The breaking may get slightly worse, it might still have a slight tic there, not sure. I would still get it pressed, though.

    After a press, 7.0-7.5. Some color-breaking might appear in the spine upon pressing. If so, 6.5ish.
