8 points JLA #42 was the big one for myself and my son, we went 8.5 based on the foxing. the others were within 1 point for each book. My 12 year old boy is loving the competition though, his only flaw is he doesn't quite understand the production values of the eras and therefore he grades a modern to the same criteria as a silver age - to a 12 year old the concept of 'this book was made 55 years ago, that little scuff is nothing in the scheme of things' whilst a book like Superman #50 is still 30 years old - to a 12 year old they are both ancient! and are graded on the same harshness....and to him everyone on the forum would be a fossil (but he's too polite to say as much!)

There's definitely a market for unique production books though..and any book cleaner would be able to remove the staples then fold the boo pages over, gently press them down and re-attach the correct way if desired....mine did not have that option of course being glued! Your book is evidence that nearly every page Steranko draws makes a damn good splash though

I owned a Marvel Team Up Annual #1 where the 1st half of the book was 'normal' then the second half was in reverse - boy was I confused reading that bad boy, thought it was some Christopher Nolan kind of deal going on! With centrefolds this start with the middle, goes toward the start, then the end then back to the middle again - I do believe these were the lyrics to Crystal Waters 100% pure love in 1993...perhaps they read this book???

Stack? That's an understatement...I'm thinking it resembles the warehouse that the artefact gets stored in at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc...crates upon crates!!! -

Try an Ed Brubaker Reckless graphic novel (5 published, any are good!) - Ed writes a damn fine vigilante character that is easy to get behind...Sean Phillips does art (which is always subjective) but I enjoy his composition, the way he leads the viewers eye through a page and the colour palette is often very clever too (lots of pages done in a uniform monochromatic choice to add mood. For me it's some of the best modern I've read last year. -

I'll take this too - with a clean and press, she'll come up great - and Gene Colan art at $8 is a bargain compared to the modern muck at the LCS I picked up yesterday! -

PGM Green Lantern #77
SpidersComics replied to SpidersComics's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Book was sold to me from a reputable internet store as a VF+. I've gone back with refund request. thank you folks for confirming my suspicions - a CB subscription crease hits hard on the grading scale. The irony was that after I purchased this copy I sold mine, thinking I had a better one coming in....and mine was better than this! hahaha now I have a hole in my GL/GA run! -

Miele (the german made ones) are excellent, ASKO...Bosch (once again you want the german made ones) are great too. In the states you probably can't get them but V-Zug (Swiss made) are amazingly high quality (literally the only brand Miele engineers I chatted with rated with respect). They all have delay options - so the machine can start midday when your solar energy generation is at maximum...that way time doesn't really matter to much to me. They also have optic sensors in them (and will adjust run cycle times) so if you rinse your dishes before putting them in the machine, that will adjust run times Good luck with your purchase! -
The colour loss on the upper edge, small cut on lower edge....and slight colour breaking subscription crease....the rear cover is lovely! Staples are tight, page quality is off-white thank you for your time and efforts

'Lichenstein created plagurised Drowning Girl in 1963' One the great things that has happened over the past fews decades is that the sources of Lichenstein's theft have become apparent to the greater population and hopefully his reputation suffers; in my day we were taught all about him in Art Studies without any reference to what he'd actually done. anyway...Beautiful book and good luck with sale, new owner will be very lucky
