  1. Thanks for the reply. That's super helpful to know that some of these are very common defects in a 9.8. If only all the books I sent in received the same mistakes and got overgraded haha
  2. Thanks! That's reassuring. It was my primary concern since I was able to get this for a good deal so even if isn't equal to other 9.8s at least I know it's still legit.
  3. Overall pretty clean book except for a spine crease/tick on the back. Wondering how much that would drop the grade.
  4. Hello! I recently bought a CGC 9.8 of Teen Titans 12 and after close inspection felt like this book didn’t fit the 9.8 criteria. There’s a good amount of spine rub, bindery tears, a spine tick and even a dinged up corner. Any chance this might be a resealed slab? I ask that also because there seems to be a piece on lint stuck inside the slab. Any responses are greatly appreciated!
  5. Just wondering in this case what would a press help fix up? I always assumed they were only good for non-color breaking defects such as creases or waviness.
  6. Would this be a 9.8 candidate if it was just the 2 slight color-breaking ticks without any edge wear?
  7. Thanks for the replies! Was so fixated on the spine tick didn't even consider the corners. That's a bummer, guess I won't be submitting this then.
  8. Hey fellow collectors! I’ve used CGC a few times already but first time posting here. Just got a Detective Comics 880 and have been seeing different opinions on whether a small color breaking spine tick would still get a CGC 9.8. Figured I should ask the forum so hope these pictures are adequate and let me know if anything could be done better. The color breaking spine tick is in the middle of the backside.
