  4. Those are some RAD copies! Grades? Lemme guess: 45 9.2 28 8.5 (Where'd ya get that one?) 9 8.5 3 8.0 Lemme know also when you're ready to sell me that #9... Most books were bought from board members. #45 9.2 bought from r1970d #28 8.0 bought from Blind Owl #9 6.5 bought from JKRK Best 6.5 i've ever seen. Buy the book not the label. #3 4.0 I'm totally blown away with the grade on this book. I couldn't be happier with getting this nice of a looking book at the price i picked it up at. :cloud9:
  5. Got that one from Blind Owl. The boards are certainly a great place to pick up books.
  6. Yea, I picked that up from r1970d. Very nice looking book.
  7. Three days without a post to this thread. Did everyone go to San Diego? I'll post a couple recent acquisitions. #45 #28 #9 #3
  8. Great idea for a thread. I did a Spider-Man painting once that i gave to my son. I haven't seen it in years. These are not comic related so i hope they are all right. So, I pulled these out of a closet. I haven't look at them in a least a decade. The frames are filthy ( have to replace them and hang them up soon ) and there are some stains on the one in the sky. These are the only ones i have left. I used to paint when I was in my late teens and early twentys. But i gave most of them away. My mother was very talented and i used to paint with her and late at night by myself. I kept these paintings because i didn't like the mountain scene and couldn't give it to anyone, because i wasn't happy with how it turned out. The other one i kept because it had a fond memory attached. I'm color blind and should have labeled the colors on the pallet but i was up late painting. In fact all night. My father came in and look at it for a while them said. " Nice,... green deer. I wouldn't have gone that way, but you're the artist. So i had to repaint them. I painted my first wifes wedding portrait as a first anniversary present and haven't picked up a paint brush since. that was in 1981. Maybe when i retire someday.
  9. Kudos to djpinkpanther67 again for a few nicely graded FF's that were expertly packaged and super fast shipping. (thumbs u

  11. Kudos to Mr. Highgrade for 3 nice Spideys. Arrived today in excellent shape. Great looking books. Thanks, Chris
  12. Thanks for the compliments guys, i'm happy with the 7.0 books. I'll post a couple more. These are in the 8.0 to 8.5 range
  13. . I've seen you post some nice looking books. And you may not think so now, but you'll probably start upgrading sometime soon. I have a small box full of low grade late silver / early bronze Spidey's that I still love to read every now and then, but CGC started me on collecting high grade . ( but i've toned it down somewhat now )
  14. Killer books! The colors on this one are wild. I agree that they look better in mylars. I try to stay in the 8.5-9.2 range because I keep telling myself that I may want to crack my collection out one day. Problem is, I can't bring myself to do it. The #14 is an extremely nice looking 7.0 All these are 7.0's. I'm looking for #1 in 5.0 Then the next 14 in 7.0. After that it goes up like your's to 8.5 to 9.2. But where i used to only collect 9.4 in mid to late silver, i now like 8.5 to 9.0 so i don't feel bad about breaking them out of the slab.
  15. I guess i'll post a couple of mine. I gave up collecting ultra high grade last year and settled on good looking VF'ish copies. I still buy CGC but I crack them out of the holder now. I think they look so much better in Mylars, and i wont want to sell them later.
  16. I think it's issue #43(the other Rhino cover) that he buys. I'll see if I can find his ID. Here's who you were looking for Capt. He bought my #43 cgc 9.2 a little over 2 years ago. When i checked his feedback after the auction ended every item he was buying was a #43. Looks like he gave up trying to collect them all! He hasn't bought anything in a while. http://myworld.ebay.com/mdnfri
