Also the home of the infamous Gerry Ross, who is still operating to this day. I grew up in Montreal, and it's definitely a shady comic town.
They've always had a well developed comic market, so they know their stuff, but the dealers are incestuous, there's more collusion than competition. Rosaire Fontaine who runs Fantasticon is a trustworthy guy who handles big books. Everyone else has what I call the "Montreal stink" on them.
Well, saying "[e]veryone else" in Montreal has a bad reputation is quite a blanket statement. There are plenty of good folks here selling comics, but there's a definite number of rather unscrupulous ones though...

the entire premise of this thread was flawed. wish you had not resurrected it.
af15 has been the book of the silver age to have, bar none. it spiked several years ago, and then lay dormant for a few years. though most copies at auction have chipping or other unsightly defects, skewing results a bit badly, whenever a great looking copy for the grade came up, it always did fine.
other books have played catch up, and some have gotten much closer in value. af15 is perhaps overdue to jump again. but if it does not, it's certainly not "dropping in value." ridiculous.
There's absolutely nothing flawed about my initial post. Prices had been going down in most grades for what I believe is the longest amount of time since the inception of the GPA. The numbers during that period are a fact and there for all to see. Why deny the data? I then wondered if the book had plateaued after many years of astronomical growth, so I asked people to comment. An insightful discussion was had. Thanks to all who contributed!
The book is back on its rightful ascension as the King of the Silver Age, because there's no way this book can continue to drop or stagnate given the prices obtained for UF 4 or even X-FORCE #1 recently.
All hail AF15!!!

OK, so prices have somewhat stabilized for the book after a volatile 36 hours.
I've lowered the price to just below the GPA low of the last 13 sales as of this post.

Price lowered by 5% (see new price above).
Will entertain shipping outside of Canada.

Thanks for everyone's feedback thus far. CIS looks like the way to go for comics, but they only deal within the US.

I dont buy insurance. Never had a package damaged or lost. So if some do I am still ahead based on previous savings. However I dont ship over seas unless I use global shipping which may just be a usa thing or have buyer wire me money or pay friends and family so if it doesn't get there it's not my problem. There are at least dozens of shipping insurers in the usa so I would do a google search for one in Canada. In USA every $100 in insurance is about 70 to 90 cents last I heard. Did European buyer pay more than a usa or Canadian buyer? If not I would find another buyer. If so make him or her pay cash or very least pay for whatever the insurance cost is.
Buyers pay the same, regardless of location, but they do have to assume the additional cost of insurance. An original art dealer acquaintance of mine has recommended P.A.F. Insurance Services LLC. Has anyone dealt with them? They provided a quote. I'm going to get them on the phone today to confirm the details.
Thanks for the feedback. -
Hi everyone!
I usually sell in person, and when I do sell online, I rarely send more than $1,000.00 worth of books in a parcel because that's the limit for CanadaPost's coverage (I'm in Canada by the way). But I've just sold a $5K book to someone in Europe and was going to use FedEx because I assumed they could cover it in full. I was wrong. $1K is their max for collectibles.
How do you folks insure your pricey comic book parcels and with whom?
Thanks in advance.

Hello all,
We hope you're all faring well during the COVID-19 pandemic and doing your part to help fight the spread. Sadly, self-isolation comes with a price. All gatherings, including comic book cons are being cancelled/postponed. So, how are you going to get your back issue fix then? Well, fortunately there are numerous online sellers, including ourselves.
To help you ward off comic book deprivation, we've decided to extend our warehouse liquidation to mail order sales. That means we're giving you up to 40% off on my most items, whether you visit the warehouse or place an order with us. This amazing cost-saving offer will last as long as COVID-19 is forcing most of us to stay home. So send us your want lists. We'll be happy to see what we have in stock.
Rest assured, we're taking the necessary precautions to minimize the risk of shipping contaminated items.
Thanks for choosing KEY ISSUES Comics and be safe!!!

Someone once said that there are only two stories; a person goes on a journey, and a stranger comes to town. Everything is variations of those two. Kindt has written enough interesting comics that I think this won't be a clone of something else.
Maybe. Who knows until it comes out. Once again, my comment is solely based upon the image/visuals.
So, Why Has AF #15 Continued to Drop In Value?
in Silver Age Comic Books

Quick response. It was trending downwards in most grades. The picture above only tells part of the story. Look at the line graphs and you'll see a downwards trend in many grades during 2018-2019, and a flattening at best for many others. And that after many years of constant rising.
It's all moot now since the King is back!
