  1. Yup. It's a sad story about a helpless, vulnerable FF 1 that has known nothing but trauma and abuse its entire life, and it would be nice if, despite its bedraggled appearance, some collector would go to the shelter, adopt it, and show it some human kindness at last in its twilight years. I'm crying right now, I really am.
  2. She requested cancellation today. Supposedly due to technical complications with PayPal. It smelled from the start when she/it said they had to move money around.
  3. 1-877-662-6642..... And welcome to the Boards, hope you get the grades you want! Or call 1-800-THE- DOCX
  4. Yes he is. I bought my AF 15 from him several years ago. One of his inadvertently sent my AF 15 to someone else and I got that person's package which to put it mildly wasn't as valuable as mine. Nick repeatedly assured everything would be taken care and assuaged my worries. Needles to say, I got my book. One of the best in the business and I would buy from him any time. I am not sure if Paul @Ken Aldred still helps Nick at his shop or not but both are great guys. Paul still is active member. I dealt with Nick several times, and had many conversations with him. Just an A+ dealer and all around good guy.
  5. lots of people just grade by the front cover though and that's all they show. how about the back, the centerfold, splash page, tears, any " unseen " defects , they all add up.
  6. this is a tough one. that's quite a bit of color breaking vertical creasing along the spine and some horizontal breaks to. I'm in the 5.0 camp. Maybe I'll run into you in Chi Town this year.
  7. these are personal books I've had over 40 years. just double checking on a few.
  8. really nice copy. great color and eye appeal. very faint light crease on the bottom edge f.c. and the top staple has a light tear . top right corner has a light crease. touch of overspray on the top edge.
  9. This is really a sharp book with excellent color and eye appeal. On the back cover edge starting about 3" from the top there is a very faint crease going up at an angle but disappearing before the top edge. Could be pressed out. You have to hold the book at an angle in the light to really see it. Very well attached and real nice inside pages.
  10. This a really a nice looking book and very solid. Has a light crease top upper corner. Back cover has light dust shadow on the top edge and a visible half circle stain but there is no wrinkling or warping. Cover and centerfold are well attached.
